Auger not working!!!

Absolutely need volume and momentum. But I think clearing both at zero if you can will give better results.

We didn’t have volume, but enough for me to try with the new belt. These were my settings, but changed to zero and turbo for both passes. Will see how it does with snow forecasted for Wednesday and Thursday. :crossed_fingers:

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully support gets back yo you soon.

I had a clicking noise and an auger overcurrent error, but that was due to the ice accumulation. After spending time to clear I mostly think the clicking is gone.

Not uncommon for some ice buildup and some clicking from it. It’s fine, shouldn’t harm anything as long as there isn’t an overcurrent. The best thing to get it to stop is to bring it in the garage or somewhere above freezing to let it thaw out some. Then spin up the auger for a bit to dry it out before putting it back outside in the freezing weather.

Yeah, I hope so too. They got back to me on Sunday pretty quick after I replied with videos. I had powered the unit off and they needed it on to check it remotely. I powered it back up and replied, but nothing since.

Mine is with no snow/ice, and I had even removed the belt completely. It was just the motor trying to turn on its own with no load.

Their diagnosis can take a little time. Especially with the weekend. Hopefully you hear back in the next day or so.

Yep. Heard back today, they’re escalating.

Does anyone have a way to escalate cases? I just hear back on mine, and they want to replace the belt and “short pulley”. I’ve already gotten a new belt, and I don’t know if the short pulley is the whole motor or (I fear) just the gear on it. If the latter, I know that won’t fix my issue, as the motor seems burned out after the belt shredded. It won’t run and gives an auger over current alert even without the belt. I see other people have gotten new snowblower modules, as a fix, and I’m getting random parts.

@Yarbo-Forum can escalate it for you. Drop your ticket number here so they can look into it for you.

Thanks. Ticket is #146082.

Hi there, thanks for sharing the details.

I’ve checked your support ticket and have asked our field service engineer to review your case. Based on the analysis so far, there may be an issue with the snow blower module motor. To address this properly, we will arrange a replacement of the snow blower module for you.

We’ll keep you updated with the next steps and shipping details through your existing support ticket. Thanks for your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.

Thank you! My issue was the decision to replace the “short pulley”, which I didn’t think was the motor. We’ve had some major snow here, and probably more in the next couple weeks so I was hoping not having to keep trying random parts.

@Yarbo-Forum: I just heard back from support. They are insisting on sending the short pully, which as I figured is just the “gear” at the bottom of the motor. They don’t appear to have acknowledgement of the escalation. Is there something they didn’t get?

Send them the link to Yarbo-Forum’s response in your ticket and request the replacement again.

Thanks for checking in. I’ve confirmed with the relevant team, and we’ve now initiated the replacement process of the snow blower module for you. Please kindly appreciate your patience while the replacement is being prepared and shipped.

Let us know if you need any further assistance in the meantime.

That you for the update. Hope to hear it’s shipped soon! Of course, we’re on our second or third snowstorm in a week, and I’d love to have my Yarbo clearing my driveway out.

Just FYI I believe you can do the same thing by using the yellow shovel and going in through the chute to give the impeller a push. That way you don’t have to reach your hands into the unit.

Same happened to mine this morning. Light fluffy snow and auger stopped after about a third of my driveway was complete. Pulled off the snowblower module and the belt was shredded. It did not break any shear pins. This is a new unit put in service less than three weeks ago and it was only our third storm. I opened a ticket and hope they will ship me a new belt quickly.
