Can a feature be added to automatically cycle through the number of perimeter loops to reduce turf damage when turning?
This could reduce where from the unit Turing in the same area each time.
This would be nice as well as an option to vary the direction of perimeter travel automatically too.

How about increasing the number of perimeter laps to 18. This will help the see-saw dance of death and WTF* mowing patterns.

if you don’t use the trimmer otherwise it won’t work.
Would only need the first lap to go the correct way for trimming. However if the trimmer is disabled, or there’s no trim edge defined along that boundary, then it could go either direction.

@bryan.wheeler well, if it helps prevent crazy behavior like this (north is up). See mowing pattern on the east side. it got stuck for 37 mins driving back and forth near the upper corner driving north to west.

Have you tried spiral for that area? Parallel would not be good for that, as you’ve seen. I would also disable all offsets, etc. You could also try adaptive, but I think spiral would be better.
I had the same thought just yesterday.
An Adaptive Mow pattern was shared. Using a Spiral and Parallel patterns moves the cluster to the SW corner. Parallel patterns with a 45, 90 and 135 degree shift moves the cluster to each corner.
well that’s not helpful
