Mowing across perimeter mowing laps

Hey team, I was just wondering why Yarbo is mowing across my Perimeter Laps. I have set my Perimeter to mow 4 laps, but then when it mows the area it mows across those laps again. I usually mow with just 2 but wanted to change it due to some other issues. So today i set to 4 and noticed that when it was done mowing the perimeter and started the area, it was mowing the same area again. I also noticed that once it completed the perimeter mowing that it drove across my yard to start the area mowing. I thought this was one of the things that was being fixed in this release? Maybe I don’t have something setup correctly in the app?

Thanks,

Aaron

The perimeter laps is expected but certainly not desirable. I hope this gets corrected soon. Are you using the adaptive pattern? That will minimize the cross yard travel but it does not change the spot where the perimeter cuts start, it only starts the zig zag where the rover is closest. Adaptive is new, so hopefully this continues to evolve and get resolved so that both start where it’s closest.

Yes, I was using adaptive, which is why I was asking the question. Not the end of the world, just making sure I wasn’t missing something.

Thanks

It shouldn’t be like this for the mower but it would be good for the snow blower so it doesn’t turn in the snow and push snow back where it has been.

Hi Aaron, thanks for your question. Based on the current algorithm, the behavior you described is expected for the Yarbo Lawn Mower.

Regarding the line crossing the area after perimeter mowing, the adaptive route can help reduce this, but there are still situations where it may occur. We will continue to optimize this in future updates, and I’ll also share your case with our product team for further consideration.
