Automatic Shutdown on Low Battery

Feature request:

Add a user-enabled battery protection setting:

“Automatic Shutdown at Low Battery”

When enabled:

  • If Yarbo is not actively charging
  • And battery state of charge reaches 10%
  • Yarbo automatically shuts down.

This would be especially useful if Yarbo encounters a problem and cannot return to the dock, or if there is a problem with the dock/charging system or communication. Instead of continuing to operate until the battery is completely depleted, Yarbo would shut down at a safe battery level.

The user could then locate/recover Yarbo and address the problem without risking a completely dead battery.

Ideally, the shutdown threshold could eventually be configurable (for example, 5%, 10%, 15%, etc.).

Feature would ensure if Yarbo is in trouble and not able to return to charger on it’s own, that the battery would not be completely dead so that user would be able to recover it and return it to charger before the battery is 100% discharged.

This feature already exists under work preferences for a default of 5% (not configurable).
