Yeah, they need a rubber cover like the mower has to close off that back. I don’t like leaving it exposed.
Oh wow. I didn’t realize the BBM didn’t come with a replacement cover. That sure seems like an oversight.
Maybe it’s something that can be fabricated somehow.
It’s definitely something that the PPP brought up as a concern. They don’t see it as an oversight because it’s supposed to be weather safe back there. But I am not comfortable with it even when those rubber connector boots are installed correctly. A lot of people don’t use them or reinstall them like they are supposed to. Not to mention that they are installed upside down IMHO. They should be attached from the top, not the bottom. I wish they were spring loaded metal covers with a rubber weather proof seal. Auto closes and seals when not in use. Even with that, I’d still want it closed in back there to keep the grass and other debris out from the trimmer.
