I still want to due a full 20-100% run but it won’t be today. T-storms rolling in at noon.
Yeah it’s 71 here and raining. Won’t be any mowing today.
That’s headed my way.
What would be the optimum battery temps. I could not tell from reading all of these posts. last night I was running the snow blower. The snow was heavy and around 24". when Yarbo went to recharge, the battery temp was at 47 C and it would not charge even in the cold. I waited 30 minutes to cool off, then it started charging.
This is great Bryan. That is helpful. Thanks
Is the CPU fan keep the temp below 45C, and is the solution still working great?
Is the bright white allowing the battery to stay below 45C?
It did for me, last season.
This season I have the dock under a dog house for shade, and I run the core with the battery cover off. I don’t think the battery charging has been throttled more than once, granted our max temp this summer has only been 95 thus far.
I am going to experiment with this as posted above 2W solar panel, 5000 RPM Arctic Cooling Fan. Think I will make a plastic temporary cover and duct tape it for now. Hate to ruin a good cover. When I get the Trimmer in August it has another cover for it.
It helped, it did not fully resolve. Especially on the high 80s, once over 90 was less effective. Right now I have not replaced the tape after a mouse ate my core and they sent a new one. Issues have been less for me this year, but certainly some long times on charge. Considered doing it again, but thinking of providing some shade instead.
Wish they would release a 3d model so we could mock up a cover easier. Twhat you are explaining was certainly something I was thinking of.
I was thinking plastic sheet and duct tape to play with it awhile
