Battery issue

This is my first season using the Yarbo pro. I was not able to use the mower because I didn’t get the module until November. I’ve had pretty good success with the snowblower this winter. However, last week my battery would not charge above 77%. I pulled it and brought it in to warm up and reset for about 2 days. It’s been below 0 F here for about a week, now warming up. I put the battery back in today, but my Yarbo is dead. It will not come online, will not charge. Do I need to wait to see if it will charge or are there any other suggestions?

Plug in the wired charger to the back of the core with the battery installed and let it charge for a few hours. Solid red means it’s charging, solid green means it’s fully charged. Flashing red indicates a problem. Try turning it back on after. If that doesn’t work, hold the power button for 60 seconds and see if it turns on then.

Hi there, really sorry to hear the issue and the inconvenience caused. As Bryan has suggested, you can try using the wired charger to charge Your core. You can refer to this article on how to use Yarbo wired charger: How to Use Yarbo Wired Chargers (New & Old Versions) | Yarbo Wiki

If you find charge failure, please let us know through your current support ticket. We hope to help you solve the issue as soon as possible.

Plugging in the cord charger almost instantly brought it back to life. All connections good. Battery said 100%. Thank you all.

I have a couple of battery questions also. Similarly I didn’t get the Yarbo Pro mower pro module until October, with my package ordered in July, I knew there was going to be a delay. So I didn’t get to cut any grass, I have the snow blower module up & running & am very impressed with its performance.
Battery question 1, I had my Yarbo Core in my heated shop with battery charge at 100%, I un plugged the plug in charger, when I went to manually operate the Yarbo 4 days later I was surprised to find the battery was at 0% as it had sat there without any use, is this normal?

Battery question 2, in review of Yarbo online support I asked how long should I expect battery to last before a recharge is necessary, the comment I found said for snowblower use with an inch or 2 of snow you can expect 1-1/2 hours, I seem to be getting 45-50 minutes with temperatures of -10 to -15 C (5-15F).
So I am questioning if my battery capacity is what a new Yarbo battery should be?

Thanks

Yes if you leave the core in a garage with poor or no GPS it will be constantly searching for GPS and drain the battery faster. Plus it’s got a computer and battery and camera heaters. Lots of power drain. Best you can hope for is a couple of days.

Battery drain with the snow blower can vary. Roughly an hour to an hour and a half in dry and powdery snow. Slopes, temperature, load, auger speed, core speed, can all have an impact on battery life. What you are describing sounds consistent and normal to me. I wouldn’t be concerned. I think you’ll be blown away with the mower battery life. I can get 6-7 hours with the M1 and about 4-6 with the M1P (Pro).

Okay thanks, I will continue to monitor temp & conditions & recharge frequency & evaluate further as the winter season goes. Already more snow then all of last year, so will give Yarbo a workout this season

That’s awesome that you’re able to get some good use out of it. When I bought my tractor with snow plow we had a wild snow season that year and I loved getting a lot of use out of my investment. Same thing happened with Yarbo for me too. Already used it twice this year and that’s unusual for my area this early in the season.

One last question. If I wanted a backup battery, is the info available in the store compatible with the Yarbo pro? It does not explicitly say, at least that I find.

Also, pretty impressed with the snowblower capabilities. I find the powdery lighter snow and a bit colder weather it does really well. Heavier, more wet snow is more challenging- need more overlap, more auger power, etc, so more battery. Hard to stay ahead of the snow when it’s really coming down.

Thank you

Yes it’s compatible. It’s all the same battery and the same core no matter what module package you bought.

I run a second battery as well. I don’t regret it. From the runtime 5/6 hours I can see not needing it for M1/MP (I didn’t get it time to mow before snow). I only had B1 to start before S1 arrived. For both B1 & S1 I find a spare battery to be extremely useful.
Especially if the snow is coming down. You gotta stay in the fight! @Yarbiter

I actually got the spare battery at first to drop in when the battery gets a little warm and spicy in the summer.
