I wanted to share a quick win that just saved me a ton of time. Since May, I’ve been battling a recurring WP005 error on two specific zones with my Yarbo. I tried everything—painstakingly remapping the areas and redrawing the paths—but nothing worked.
Today, I decided to try deleting the trimmer memory paths in those zones to see if that would solve it. My first thought was, “Oh crap, this is going to be a massive chore.” I was looking at powering down, mounting the trimmer, powering back up, making the edits in the app, and then repeating the whole process in reverse—twice, since I run two separate cores. It easily would have been a 30+ minute ordeal.
Then I remembered I could just use Yardstick.
I grabbed my PC, opened the desktop map editor, and knocked out the edits for both cores in about two minutes flat. Best of all? Clearing those trimmer paths actually fixed the WP005 issue!
Huge shoutout to the team at Yardstick (www.yardstickhome.com) for creating a tool that makes map editing completely painless. It easily paid for itself in saved time today alone.
