Blade height damage

What kind of damage is caused by blade height of less than 2.7 inches?

I have set the M1 blade height very low for mulching leaves. It seems to preform adequately. What causes the damage the app refers to?

2.7 is the height of the mower deck. If you climb a curb or whatever, the disks will clear it.

Below that height, the disks begin to protrude under the deck. If you climb a curb, you increase odds of shearing them.

Hi there,

When the mowing height is set too low, there’s a higher chance that the cutting discs may come into contact with hard objects or debris on the ground. This can potentially cause damage to the discs.

Thank you. If it’s only the disc’s I can deal with that. I was concerned about motor damage.

So far no disc damage and it mulches fine. If I send it out before the leaves are too deep.

Hi @laudav1285, contact at a low height usually affects the discs, not the motor.
