Debris behind blades

The area behind the blades is constantly getting bound up. Sometimes i get lucky and the blades are lowered so i can easily pull the debris out but more often than not they’re tucked up next to the housing and i can’t get in there without taking the entire assembly apart. Is there a way to lower the blades via the app to support debris removal? If there is one, I’ll be damned if i can find it. Thanks!

There is. Best way is to go into the controller and lower the blade height down to 1.2 inches and then go into settings, safety settings, and then shutdown to power off the unit before removing the module.

You can optionally remove the entire blade guard assembly permanently. Brackets as well, this will help with debris build up.

I didn’t take the blade guards and brackets off for the longest time. Once I took them off, my debris issues became MUCH less frequent. I wasn’t going to take them off when I first got Yarbo, but I am SO glad I took them off in the end.

Just like @bryan.wheeler @ken.w.gregory said. I removed the entire blade guard assembly permanently. Brackets as well, this does help with debris build up.So glad I did. Much nicer cut too.

Removed them after a few days of mowing in long grass. Never had an issue since. But be careful when the mower is parked, it lowers the blade to the lowest. If you detach the mower from the core, you have no protection anymore from the guard so the disk will hit the ground if not careful (when they are higher, the side and front of the mower hit first, but when at the lowest setting, the disk hits first, which doesn’t happen when you have the guards on).
