While waiting on the replacement mower module related to ticket # 227215 figured I’d try to run the blower and clean up the drive. Rarely use the blower as it is frankly a hassle to change out the head. Have the mower running most days of the week on a planned schedule. Somehow I mistakenly expected he thing to actually work with both modules attached, silly me…
Anyway tried just to setup a plan to blow the driveway. Obviously had done this before but somehow setting had changed etc. Went in to confirm, yeah, want the beta forward and reverse blowing mode, this is the direction to blow and presto! It starts to “work” but never starts the blower… Plug it in, unplug it it recognizes the blower just will not turn it on.
Opened the ticket got the same retarded send us your serial number so we can work your ticket. Sent Wallee back to charge then decided to investigate further… Basically the blower is not responding to command from the app. Core will move etc but module is unresponsive.
Unplugged it for more than five minutes… had used the “shutdown yarbo” command from bottom of “Yarbo Settings” in the app… Plugged the battery back in and touched the “power button” a number of different ways held for a moment, - release, held for 3 seconds - release, held for 60 seconds - release. Finally drug out the manual battery charger and once plugged in the top yellow light flashed and eventually came back to life announcing “Ready to Work”!"
Unfortunately Wallee’s enthusiasm for working did not extend to the blower module, same as before. Since the mower had now shown up and pulled it around to the garage to make the swap and the new to me mower failed to respond to commands also… So what hoops have to be jumped through to get Yarbo to send out a replacement Core?
Opened ticket # 232944 for the blower today (Aug 13th) and have updated the support ticket as requested for correct address and image of main screen showing blower attached and another video of it not working
Replacement mower module related to ticket # 227215 was opened before July 25th Updated that with images of the app controller not responding
Called support and requested escalation. Have Yarbo Tech Support call reserved for Aug 15 9AM-11AM with Cai Yiming
Well yeah, kind of went with the “give it shot and see what happens” approach. Paused plan, took manual control via app, backed it up a few yards and resumed the plan. Did that a couple times. Resumed the plan one of those times and it may have thrown up some yellow text about adjusting the blower angle or something, did not capture that as it went away and continued to not blow but it was moving according to plan.
Hi there, we’re really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve been experiencing with the blower module and the frustration this has caused.
This issue will require further investigation from our support team to identify the root cause. I see that you have already scheduled a support meeting with our team, and we will continue assisting you through that session to review the details and work toward a resolution.
Thank you for providing the additional information and videos. We appreciate your patience while we investigate this further.
For the blower (just for yucks, might as well throw a dart at the wall)
Hit your diagnostics page, scroll down to “Main” and prove that “Emergency Stop” is 0.
Checked just now… had changed from blower to mower earlier today … “Emergency Stop: 0”
Had the call with the FSE yesterday morning, maybe lasted 5-7 minutes, start to finish. I described the issue, he said he wanted to connect to the machine to diagnose, silence for a bit then he indicated the Core needed replacement. Follow-up emails from Yarbo indicated the repair option or the refurb option (anticipate that refurb stock will be replenished Aug 19).
Thanks for the truck shout out. Had it since 1995, It’s a 1986 Toyota DLX Xtra Cab longbed with a topper… not perfect, needs a little of this and a little of that, something I can work on…
Crazy with all these issues with modules and trimmers needing core replacements or repairs. Is this something from the firmware updates? Just seems to be happening a lot lately.
All I can say is I am thankful it is “under warranty”, these issues do not bode well for long term ownership. If Yarbo is transparent about the issue(s) and embraces “right to repair”, perhaps that may improve my outlook on long term ownership. There are a lot of other autonomous mowers out there and Yarbo is comparatively, quite expensive. Like many others I’ve not been able to autonomously mow the yard for a month. Lawn has gotten so out of hand I need to go out and resurrect the 15 yo Craftsmen"Yard Machine" Yarbo was meant to replace. Did I mention it is August in Georgia? Yeah, fun times…
I completely understand your concerns, especially when it comes to the long-term ownership experience of a high-value product like Yarbo. We know that reliability, transparency, and the ability to maintain your equipment are all important parts of building long-term trust.
Please rest assured that we will continue to provide support throughout your Yarbo journey and help you get the most out of your system. We also value your feedback regarding repairability and serviceability.
We are currently working on expanding our available spare parts options and improving our replacement guidance to make maintenance and repairs more accessible for our users.
Thank you again for sharing your honest feedback. We truly appreciate your patience and will continue working to improve your experience with Yarbo.
In Yarbo Support email from August 15th it was stated:
"However, we are currently out of stock, and the new stock is expected to arrive around August 19. Once we receive the stock, we will ship the replacement to you immediately.
The new stock was expected to arrive around August 19th. If it did NOT arrive, why was I NOT notified?
If the shipment did arrive, why was the replacement not shipped immediately?
Please provide an update on the status of this shipment and a tracking number
It is now August 21, the Yarbo Support Order tracking website indicates that:
Replacement ID: #RP-31871
Apply time: 2026-08-15 11:19:49
This shows as “approved” but has not shipped yet. Please provide an update with an actual date as to when the Core replacement will be shipped to my address. Most of the time Yarbo updates typically contain non specific “weasel wording” that is conspicuously vague in an obvious bid to avoid accountability. Cut to the chase, be honest as to when I can expect to receive this replacement.
My suspicion is that they give the run-around to their customers and indicate that they are working on it (high priority) to stall until they have refurbished or new core inventory on hand. My last issue took 45 days to get a replacement core, way too long when you consider how quick the diagnostics should have been. (Cameras never worked properly on refurb core, so theres also the new issues you get to deal with when you get a replacement). Anyway, had to go without a mower for the worst part of the season. I feel your pain.
I hear you, my fear, this is only my opinion from this point, purely conjecture… This may be the early signs of a supply chain seizing up, whether it is a management “austerity”, cost saving measure or a cash flow issue, maybe they have over extended on supplier/vendor relationships… who knows… Bottom line, the customer facing website shows 6 of 10 products with stock available to purchase (which includes refurbished Y-series) the 4 products that show out of stock are bundles that include the "“Pro” series mowers… So the flagship product that is still dependent on the Core but they are not selling the bundles? They could still sell bundles and put the disclaimer to delay sending the one or two modules they are having stock issues with but to make the entire bundle subject to a stock/supply issue? Just seems weird… That is how they are treating a net new customer, but they are willing to lead existing customers on, essentially lie to them, make promises they never intend to keep etc. I simply do not understand why they cannot give a date given they have “refurbished” models to sell on their website. Do you think they treat their suppliers better or worse then existing customers?
Hi there, sorry for the delayed response and the delay with your replacement Core shipment. I’ve asked our logistics team to prioritize arranging the shipment as soon as possible.
If the replacement stock is available, we expect to provide you with the tracking number by tomorrow. If the stock is still unavailable, I will provide you with an estimated shipping date once I receive the update from the team.
