Can old firmware cause GPS issues?

Fully HaLow/Bluetooth. Cellular is on, but it never gets used. I have a PoE switch, so not using the injector. I can pop that in and remove the connection from the switch when I get a chance though.

Or just block the DC from internet if that’s easier.

Only difference I can tell, aside from a longer base station power down, my yarbo app updated from 3.18.2 to 3.18.3. So far its not displaying any of the problems I was experiencing before. My yarbo and charging pad were left on while my rtk base station was turned off for a full 24+ hours. My yarbo core was rebooted and unplugged several times during my troubleshooting and never resulted in a change. Literally had same diagnostics as you and gps issues exactly the same as you. I gave up and was sitting in customer supports hands for a few days till I randomly decided to plug my base station back in and…just started working. Did sun/warm weather heat up the base station and kill off some moisture or something? Idk. Im still stumped. Supports solution is sending my more antennas.

It very well could have been moisture infiltration inside the RTK antennas. However, the update may have also been a factor.

Very strange. This morning, I tried the exact same area that it couldn’t even start mowing yesterday. It’s running flawless (other than getting a little too close for comfort to the drainage ditch, but that’s my bad on mapping). Under and around trees, open areas, etc. all fine. Every place it stopped and was waiting for GPS yesterday, it went right through without a hiccup. For sure the RTK quality goes down a little under trees, but it never drops and picks right back up when in the open.

As an IT person, these are always the most FUN issues to deal with: the intermittent ones. I do have some 3rd party antennas on the way (the higher gain ones a few people have talked about in other posts), so we’ll see if those are the permanent fix.

Glad to hear your Yarbo is running normally again! If you notice any GPS issues going forward, please don’t hesitate to reach out — we’re always here to help.

I think the issue for both of us is that we didn’t actually do anything. Things just magically started working right. I know I haven’t gotten any updates in the last couple of days, and I’ve made no changes. It just worked great Saturday, Sunday was terrible, and today it’s great again.

Maybe your Yarbo is religious?

I specifically requested a non-Catholic robot! Since it worked Saturday, it’s definitely not Jewish.

Meh… have had the same problem for the past week. Ordered the aliexpress ones mentioned in other posts reguarding the antennas. Has it continued to work for yall?

They work great. Yarbo is actually selling these now.

So, I had ended up ordering two of these: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805165235130.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.1e9e1802ClFAI5&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

However, my issues had pretty much disappeared even before they came in and I put them on. Signal has been a better with the new ones, especially under/around trees and tall bushes. I did not get a replacement one for the DC.

Good to know Yarbo is selling better ones directly now.

Dunno what your on about.

My 2 systems at 2 properties saves me about 4-5hours a week of lawn work. Thats also allowing for PM for 30 mins or so per unit

Well worth it to a person who it time poor!

I’m there with you, but not with 2 properties/systems. I have ~3 acres of yard to mow (which has been growing insane this year). I can absolutely mow it all in 2 to 3 hours with my zero turn, but I only have time to do so on the weekends, so I get a week of growth between cuttings. That’s all 2 to 3 hours (plus 30 to 45 minutes of trimming) that I have to spend on a mower and can’t do other things. Now, I let the Yarbo mow almost every day during the week throughout the various areas, and just have to do the trimming and the perimeters where it can’t get to. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but that’s a valuable time savings for me with everything else I have to take care of. Plus, I go through anywhere from 3 to 5 gallons of gas on the zero turn each time I mow everything. In just one month, with gas prices as they are right now, that’s anywhere between $50 to $90 I’m saving. Plus the less wear and tear on the zero turn, which I do still use in places, and will likely be using in the Fall to grind up leaves.

Glad you’re having better results than most! It gives me hope that Yarbo might actually work someday!

Does Yarbo still have the v1 clips for the Halow antenna? because if you put the new antennas on the Halow stabilizer bar won’t fit. @Yarbo-Forum

Sorry, we’re unable to provide this going forward.
