I'm so ready to throw this thing in the garbage :( I just want it to work!

I’m having yet more problems with my $6500 pos… When it works, I LOVE IT… Problem is, the damn thing won’t stay working for more than a week before something new breaks and I have to wait weeks/months for support to get me repair parts or other fix…

I understand that this is a complicated piece of new technology/equipment and problems occurring are fairly “normal” while they work out the bugs, but Yarbo will go out of business if they don’t start fixing their terrible support service QUICKLY.

Time line:

Received first Core & SnowBlower approx Dec 20 2025

Right track jammed in the first 3 days. After approx 10 days, Support remote connected and “fixed” the track problem. The fix worked for 1-2 days before the track jammed permanently. It took 3 more weeks of back & forth with support to get a replacement Core. New Core arrived some time in early Feb, it worked for less than a week before the SnowBlower servo siezed. It took 3 more weeks for support to send me a new servo(none available in US warehouses)… The new servo had the wrong plug, so I had to wait 2 more weeks for yet another servo(again from China). With the new servo, the unit worked for approx 1 week before the wet slushy end of winter arrived so the Yarbo snowblower had to be retired for the season. I purchased the Lawn Pro module at the start of May. After installation, I found that the Core wasn’t receiving GPS signal(The core had been sitting unused since it’s last sucessful session with SnowBlower). Since I had such a poor experience with the SnowBlower, I decided to purchase new RTK antennas from a 3rd party while I waited for support to help me… Thank goodness I did, because it was 7 days before support even replied to my ticket, and has been 7 more days waiting for a reply with info about sending new antennas. The new antennas I purchased seemed to fix the problem and the Lawn Mower worked fine for approx 1 week, when I then receieved a Charging Failed error. I tried many things to get the wireless charging working, but no luck(multiple reboots, unplugs, reinstalls) Since the battery % was getting low, last night I hooked up the wimpy 2.2amp wired charger… The app showed it was charging, and the charger led was red. I woke up this morning hoping to find a fully charged unit, but that was not the case. The charger led is green, but the Core was found to be off and won’t turn on. I’ve tried unhooking the battery for hours, unplugging docking station, etc etc etc. I hooked my multimeter to the battery and it’s only showing 10v :frowning: I assume the battery is too low to power up the Core, and possibly too low to even charge???

Here I am 7 months in, and I still haven’t had the unit work for more than 7 days at a time before needing 2-3 weeks of support time… At this rate I should see the Lawn mower start working properly by the time it starts snowing again :stuck_out_tongue:

Hopefully someone finally replies to one of the tickets in a reasonable amount of time, but I’m not holding my breath. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

It sometimes works to tag @Yarbo-Forum to have them help push this to support faster.

Sorry for the disappointing experience so far. We truly want to get your Yarbo back to normal as soon as possible.

I have checked both of your support tickets and asked the relevant team to prioritize your case.

We sincerely apologize for the delay!

Support has contacted me with a solution. They will send another new Core, battery, and RTK antennas. It looks like there was maybe an issue with the ticket system. Their messages didn’t properly post to my original ticket thread, which lead to me not getting them. And it also seems I didn’t post my ticket to the proper category originally, which lead to some confusion.

I’ll eagerly await the new parts, and pray these ones work well  I’ve never wanted a piece of tech to work so much in my life lol

I’ve received the new RTKs, battery, & Core. I tried to get the new parts up and running last night, but ran into some problems. I couldn’t get both the Rover & the DC to show proper info at the same time… Initially the diag page showed the Rover had locked onto 33 satelites(highest I’ve ever seen, previously it was only as high as 22-23), but the DC showed 0 info at all(with green LED on DC). During this time, the GPS icon was completely greyed out… After reinstalling the DC, the diag page showed proper info for the DC, but now the Rover showed L2=0. The Halow icon never showed, only Bluetooth & the GPS icon stayed grey, so it seems I wasn’t able to get both devices properly installed on my network.

It was late & after very long day at work, so I probably wasn’t doing things in proper order. I’ll start over & try again today. Hopefully, I was just too tired and missed something simple.

I’ve got a question… I noticed in the Help file that it says I must remap if I reinstall the DC. Does restoring my old map from the cloud count as remapping? Or do I have to actually remap manually?

Thanks for any tips

Did you get a new DC or use the existing one? If your DC location didn’t move, you can restore your maps from the cloud. Your docking station also needs to not have moved. Once you have green GPS, you can correct for map drift upon downloading the backup map.

As for the L2 being zero, mind posting some screenshots of the diagnostics, RTK, status, data center, HaLow, and then tap the yellow details under RTK and connect to your DC and screenshot thr scatterplot.

Morning Bryan, I played with the Yarbo for a short few minutes before work this morning. Everything seems to be fine now… Maybe it just needed to be connected for a while, and leaving it overnight allowed it to figure out its own problems :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the remap info, that’s sorta what I assumed, but just wanted to make sure.

I’ll come back if something goes wrong. Thanks

Glad to hear it!

Just wanted to give another quick update. Yarbo seems to be working fine now. It’s had a couple GPS hiccups, but then immediately continues on.

Yarbo replied to my questions about the old DC and new Rover GPS not initially working at the same time during initial setup. They said it was a known issue, and had remotely viewed my logs and had already patched the fix. :+1: So apparently I wasn’t the problem after all lmao :stuck_out_tongue:

Side note: The solid blades for the Pro mower provide a considerably better cut, I should’ve installed them from the get go. Beautiful stripes

Fingers and toes crossed that I get more than 7 days in a row of the unit working :crossed_fingers: I want this thing to consistently work soooo badly. I totally see the possibilities and I love it.

I suspect it may have just needed the latest firmware update and once it had internet access, it applied it automatically or support pushed it. Either way, glad you are back in business.

Oh boy, here we go again… Back to having problems :frowning: The unit finished a couple work plans without issue, then suddenly in the middle of the night, I got a message that the Yarbo had lost GPS and hadn’t moved 1meter in past 10min(unit was in the middle of my wide open yard and not near any trees/buildings/etc). The diag screen showed L2=0( I didn’t pay attention to the other stats at this particular time)…Since I was in bed already, I restarted the unit from the app 2-3 times, now it shows L2=11, ,Status=bouncing between 4-5, quality = .1, and heading drop fluctuating from 30 to 200. RTK details won’t populate.

I wanted to do a power cycle, but I wasn’t getting out of bed to do that :stuck_out_tongue: Now it’s raining so I’ll have to wait until later to do that. Uhhhhhgggg, I was so hopeful for about 20hrs LOL

Can you tap the yellow details under RTK and post a picture of your scatterplot?

I went to the RTK details multiple times last night and this morning, but none of the “dots” show up and all the #s at top right were 0…

now I just tried again, it it shows this. Also I noticed the Rover status is now =1

It will go 1 after doing the DC survey mode. It should recover shortly after. DC CNR’s look good, so probably not that. Unless it’s intermittent. The CNR’s not populating could just be because you weren’t quite close enough (speculation on my part). Is the core out in the open and if so, can you provide another RTK screenshot while it is out in the wide open? Reboot your DC if it is still status 1.

I think you’re right…It seems the status 1 is in fact from entering survey mode with the DC. After exiting survey mode, it goes back to bouncing between status 4 & 5(not fast bouncing, maybe every 5 min or so)

The core is sitting in the wide open yard, closest trees/buildings are approx 100ft away. It’s been pouring rain all morning, so I haven’t been able to go out to power cycle the DC & Core yet :frowning: Hopefully the rain stops soon, so I can get this figured out.

Maybe it’s just the rain and being overcast affecting your GPS. I’m leaning towards one of the antennas being flaky. Do you have spares or have they been replaced recently?

The rain started many hours after the core stopped working in the middle of a work plan, so I don’t think its that. The antennas are brand new, but I have some spares. I’ll throw them on once the rain stops and see what happens

Try the right one first. Right as you face the rear of the core.

Well, I was able to swap the antennas in the rain without melting  Now I’ve got good GPS signal  I didn’t see your message about the right antenna until I had already swapped them both. When the rain stops, I’ll go back out and try to determine which antenna was bad.
