CES 2026 Product Release

Thanks. I thought there would be a life event but that seems to be cancelled.

The site does say there will be a live event, I hope there is.

Hmm. I’ll try to be at their booth during the livestream.

With the current issues of chute aiming, zero turns, etc I’m not seeing how they can release a new product with these features and be successful…:frowning:. They’re splitting resources across hardware platforms and we’re going to lose even more forward momentum. IDK how useful that lidar will be in winter unless the entire top of the unit is heated, and that’ll need most of the battery capacity. A lighter unit will be nice though for smaller properties. I’ve been contemplating getting something like it for my father.

Love the new user photo! I’m interested to see how they’d deal with snow accumulating on top of the sensor too.

I don’t believe it’s intended to be used for snow. I don’t see how that can work in active snowing, let alone with accumulation covering it.

Some initial info in the first interview I’ve seen

Agreed, but the show it working in the snow.

I wonder if the modules would be the same (lawnmower, trimmer,…) would be the same as the original ones. I would be interested in the leaf collector…

This is why I hate sales people/marketers…the weather API does not work:face_with_peeking_eye::zany_face:

Wow, much smaller than I thought… So I guess the modules are also different. But they were able to fir 2 times 300watt motors in that small mower. Impressive, or not?

I think all sales/marketers are like that. The aerospace company I worked for was the same way. All they cared about was closing the sale and passing it off to us engineers to design. ā€œHey, I got us an amazing sale and myself a big bonus. All you have to do is cut the weight in half and make it run twice as fast :person_shrugging: ā€œ

Oh and I said there was no maintenance, that’s a thing, right? :joy:

Kinda pissed support told me no new models were being released in 2026 only to see this. Would have purchased this over the current one since I have a smaller property

There was a live with Ken and Ryan and they answered a question saying a new device wasn’t being worked on/released and you could tell they were uncomfortable with that answer. The guy in the video above, I’m shocked he didn’t blush a few times with his responses.

No 2 stage snow blower? Just the plow?

But you would be waiting until 2028 and that assumes it ever gets off the ground. For all our hope we should pray it never gets off the ground and the focus on resources stay with the core product we all have yet to get working.

Just saw the life stream. Although I think there is a place for a smaller yarbo I don’t get the full concept. It was also very vague in explaining exactly how it works.

They said same power? But it can only tow half the weight…

Definitely want to have some more information.

Also I think the leaf collector is great. But not for the big brother, only for the M series… why? :sob:

^^ This. I EXPECT the collector module to be released for the normal sized core.

Knowing what I know with the current status of Yarbo I’ll probably still buy the Kickstarter Lidar version as long as they do a heavy discount…like 50%+ off. While I don’t have a huge property, I can see the use of the smaller version working in tandem with the larger version.

That, and I like gadgets.
