CES 2026 Product Release

60 lbs for the core. I think they said 80 with mower.

I just remembered to mention that the Yarbo booth was really super busy. Lots of people looking at the robots and asking questions. I think people seemed to be most interested in the snowblower module, which makes sense cause it’s the only snowblowing robot. The level of booth activity was high compared to other vendors.

I ended up talking to a nice couple for quite a while. They were waiting to ask questions about the snowblower and I ended up telling them about my experience as an owner. I tried to give them an honest assessment - What works well, what doesn’t work well, and the need for careful initial setup. They were pretty excited about it.

That was likely a refreshing change from salespeak

That’s really awesome you did that.

Yes, that speak is an instant turn off for sure. Especially when they don’t know their own product and its capabilities or limitations.

i really think it’s important to properly level set potential buyers. Marketing ≠ Reality.

No bleeding edge tech device is perfect, and I think it’s important for people to have a good idea what they’re getting themselves into before they spend their hard earned money.

At the end of the conversation, they were still excited and planned to buy a Yarbo. But now they have a much better idea of what to expect. For example, they had assumed they could just let it snowblow in a driveway while avoiding cars and other objects autonomously. Now they know they need to use no go zones and carefully planned work areas to avoid impacting objects.

Even if it would do it all autonomously, I would still take precautions. Nothing is perfect and things happen. Like with anything you buy, especially a large purchase, you have to do some research first. I love tech, but it can be trying at times. Definitely has its nuances and issues. Every product does. Glad you were able to put them on a path for success and not one of confusion later.

Yea, I said the visual car recognition could be considered a ‘last resort’ or secondary way to prevent a collision, but the primary means should be to ensure the designated work areas are free and clear of vehicles.

The real problem here is promo-sales team is putting out lies. People see this buy one, and then find out half the sh*t doesn’t work, or work correctly. This is not a cheap toy to just throw away if it doesn’t work.

The other issue I see with a collector module is since the size is so small you’re going to get wear patterns in the lawn going back to the dump point..

Unless you can designate many dump points, but still probably a lot of wear…. Tow mode with a tow behind sweeper and gearing for the slower speed I could see as more useful, but then we’re also back to the power/external interface thread where you’d want at least 1 way to run an actuator that could dump the load.

You can do multiple dump points from what I saw

I feel like is was something wild like 50.

Wait it dumps in those exact spots? What if the pile gets big? I was thinking to make an area and draw which end to start dumping on or it would automatically be able to see with the cameras where it could/couldn’t dump.

I’m sure all of that it still being fleshed out. Remember the CES devices are all prototypes and things are subject to change.
