I saw someone mention that exercising some mower functions after a plan seemed to help keep lawn “goo” from making the lift and spin functions sticky and may avoid over current errors. It made me think that it could be a nice feature for various modules to occasionally exercise themselves while parked on dock station. Create a module based check list that you can check off what you want, and set a frequency for execution. For instance 1x per hour raise discs, spin discs, lower discs or whatever. Same for snowblower and leaf blower and weed Wacker. Keep things intermittently moving at the owners discretion and schedule, and at the same time, the exercising will deter critters from making it a home as well…
The Snow Blower actually already does this as an antifreeze feature. It slowly turns the auger, moves the deflector and the chute, and might move the module up and down if I remember correctly. They changed the behavior recently so some of those might not be accurate any longer.
The mower, when docked will actually drop the cutting discs all the way down. If your cut height was at 4, then it would be going the full cycle when docking and when starting a work plan.
Not sure what the leaf blower would benefit from here. But, if it would, then why not?
