With Fall approaching, those of you that own the blower module - what is your opinion of it? Does it do a good job? Worth the purchase?
Thanks!

Great subject as I am curious as well.
Iâm not sure when it started shipping. There may not be much experience with it.
I received mine in the spring of this year. So I have no leaf experience. I have mapped the driveway and ran it there a couple times removing clippings and debris.
Iâm looking forward to the replies as well.
To be honest, I havenât unboxed mine yet. Thankfully weâve got a couple more months till Fall here in Michigan.
I really hope it proves to be useful. We get a ton of leaves from our huge maple trees.
Full disclaimer, unboxed but never connected mine yet. However, from the comments and videos Iâve seen, it works very well. Very powerful. Recently got follow me mode, but the hose attachment can be a little too short for that to be effective. However, if you decouple it and use follow me that way itâs very handy.
As you can expect: software is horrible and hardware is very capable. Iâve used it a bunch of times. At first it hit everything it could possibly find and took the absolutely most retarded route it could take for the job.
The blower has no clue about wind blowing so it often blows wrong, it canât blow under itself so all edges are impossible to clean, it doesnât know where walls are and canât clean against those, it doesnât know what it blows and so it has no clue how hard it should blow to create a pile.
The blower is very strong creating sufficient wind to seriously clean as is fitting for Yarbo. It can now also blow riding backwards (yes, Yarbo painstakingly turned to drive backwards, turn again, and start blowing again because it canât direct the blower). It now also has an idea that turning the blower on takes a few seconds so it doesnât drive as much doing nothing. It now stops when it sees a human but probably not for anything else. Itâs a good blower, hopefully theyâll understand that they need help in the software department.
Be sure to leave leafs for the bugs!!!
WHAT???
I hooked up my blower before @bryan.wheeler
What in the world is going on?
WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH BRYAN?
It does put out some serious wind. I will say it does indeed travel too far with the blower off when âswitching lanesâ
Guess I should open the box and start playing with it before I need it.
So is it not possible to reliably blow the leaves into a pile or designated area (assuming itâs not a windy day)? Thatâs what I expected the blower to do for me.
I donât think anyone can answer that question. It hasnât been around long enough for the leaves to fall.
Hopes are highâŚ..
Still waiting for the rear mount!
Is that coming?
Candidly, I would prefer that they devote their resources on software fixes for the foreseeable future. The âto-doâ list (backlog) needs to be whittled downâŚ
Nope. Not on the immediate to do list and still being âconsideredâ despite being advertised last June as the first supported rear mounted module.
I hear you and donât necessarily disagree. However it would be minimal software effort and just needs a bracket to mount onto the BBM. Also minimal effort.
How big an ask is sorting out no zero turn preference?
My blower is sitting unopened. Heavily considering returning it and paying the neighborhood kid to rake leaves.
I canât afford the time suck or the headaches of beta testing. Wife is due mid October and we have a precocious toddler who is going to need even more of dadâs attention once mommy is consumed with infant.
Thatâs a lotâŚ..
My toddlers never did zero turn⌠Routing was quite suboptimal and pathway selection a bit too random, but it was a fixable issue with some software engineering only (good hardware!) and at the end it seems to turn well.
Iâll concur with ken, thatâs a lot babysitting (yarbo + toddler + infantâŚ)
Well, I decided to try out the blower for the first time today.
Unboxed it, got it connected. So far so good. Turned on the robot, and got the dreaded âPower Board Issueâ.
Tried completely rebooting Yarbo by disconnecting battery. Nope. No change.
Decided to revert back to the Mower module. Guess what? No error. Works fine. Hmm. Thatâs interesting. So I switched back to the blower again. The error came back!
So now I have opened ticket #109500 to hopefully get this resolved. @Yarbo-Forum can you help?
I went from mower to snow blower. Then from snow blower to leaf blower and got the power board issue. Went back to mower and no further issues. I have reconnected and ran both the snow blower and the leaf blower several times without a recurrence.
I wonder which module uses the most current?
