data center a.i. placement

Has anyone asked A.I. about data center placement and dock placement?

I think I would trust an experienced user over AI. Feel free to post some pictures and thoughts and the community can help.

I haven’t seen anyone try this yet. It could be interesting if you become the first to share AI-based suggestions for DC and dock placement with the community.

If you can also share some details about your environment, our community members may be able to help evaluate whether the suggestion is practical and reliable.

I use AI for much of my work and home tech. I used AI as my tech advisor to install to mount the DC in best location as well as the first connection to yarbo.

Did you have a specific question?

well a.i. said on my property to not mount the d.c. at the peak of the roof. Mount it 10- 12 ft. off the ground. I thought higher the better would be the way to go.

Yes, higher the better. Get above the tree line and other obstructions. You will get a better satellite view and also HaLow will go further.

I asked my AI where to mount the data center and it gave me an answer, and then I replied that it’s wrong, the DC should be buried in concrete and it said I was absolutely correct and recommended I dig a seven foot hole.

:joy: well did you?

Absolutely correct, that is AI’s favorite thing.

I had a guy on the internet that was looking for some help finding a 400 amp breaker panel and breakers and a certain brand. So I thought I would help the guy out. I decided to try AI to help narrow it down.

What a shit show that was it would come up with a solution, and I would double check it’s findings, it was all wrong. It would pick breakers that did not fit the panel it suggested, and at first it did not even pick a panel that existed. Every time I corrected it it would say “you are absolutely correct”. It is not ready to take over too many jobs just yet.

:joy:

But it’s sooo convincing and polite when providing completely incorrect responses. I’ve been down the “tell me what information you based your response on” road many times.

Yeah, I like to tell it that it is wrong. I will sometimes ask it why it keeps giving false information. I loves to sound like it has all the correct answers.

I had AI build me a script once. I copied, pasted, executed it and got an error. Asked it what the error meant and it told me ‘oh that’s because you zigged when you should’ve zagged’

I wasn’t going to let it get away with blaming me for it’s shoddy work, so I hit right back with… You did this!

“You are absolutely correct!” :joy:

AI isn’t perfect but has helped me create tons of automation and detailed output for project reports. The magic is in the creative prompts. I’ve built custom instruction sets that produce results that blow coworker minds. When I have time, I’m anxious to dig into the Yarvo HA automations.

With that said, I’ve had my share of cussing at AI for being so stupid.

It’s better at code, but still does dumb stuff. It gives a baseline a HUMAN can build from.
