I was wondering if anyone has found a good roof or eve mount for the data center. there are a ton on amazon, but they all seem to be too big in diameter. Thanks
Seen some folks mount it using some of the starlink roof mounts. I think they just used pipe clamps. I plan to pipe clamp mine to an old directv mount using the supplied poles of the data center. Right now it’s just ground mounted.
Mine is standing in the attic.
I know… I’m sure it’s not sanctioned but it’s currently working pretty well.
Currently cloudy and raining.
I do get “map drift” pretty frequently but I suspect that is due to my placement of the docking station. Yarbo while charging, sees no satellites.
I’ll be moving the dock station fairly soon.
It’s normal when opening the app to take up to 60 seconds before it wakes up and initializes the GPS receiver. If after 60 seconds to a few mins you don’t have any satellite lock, you definitely need to move the dock.
Usually it should only take 10-15 seconds when opening the app when it’s charging and idle.
And map drift could be a known bug but it’s also possible your attic install could be a factor.
Same here, looking for non-penetrating flat roof mount.
Does anyone know the spec for the data center pole connector? It’s push-button holes but need the exact name and dimension to search for.
so tempted to go with a roof mount but the keeping the grounding wire tidy is much easier on the side of the house. Currently working good low with fair amount of foliage obstructing, can live with the few missed spots even with 4" overlap.
What are your current CNR’s for the data center? Go into diagnostics and hit details to connect to your DC and get the survey.
forgot about this from last night. Can’t upload photos on android
but 40-41, 39-40, 38-39.
I read your post about 40+ being reliable and plan to change, but its working now and don’t have time for remapping.
