Rather than going “forward” down the path to the docking station and then rotating (needlessly?) right in front of it, running into things in the process, it would be better if it backed down the pathway. Instructions for a docking return path should tell you the “end” of the path should be in a clear area where it’s safe for the unit to spin around. This seems like it would avoid a lot of docking issues, unless the spinning at the station is for calibration purposed with GPS.

I second this suggestion. Backing down the path to the charging pad would be more efficient for my setup where the pad is in a landscaping area on top of river rocks and paver stones. Turning around in front with the mower attached makes a little rock mess. Turning around at the front of the path to charger would be done in grass and not swing the mower around in rocks.
