Common issue, accessing front to back yard’s, especially with pets.
Navimow has a product or that looks promising, integrated with the app, scans for pets before opening gate.

They totally could have embedded vertical solar panels on both sides of the door and it wouldn’t need batteries. I would think a simple hanging door that has a lock would work, just add push/slide points on the robot somewhere

I this an automatic gate is a great idea. But wow, this one is pretty ugly. Strange how all the mounting points are exposed, or did I misunderstand the video??
Also, like @rcguymike said, it was a missed opportunity to just make the gate solar powered.
