Well this will be the first test, any tips on running this remotely? We’re going to be traveling for Thanksgiving just before the storm hits…was contemplating whether or not to wait to see how bad it really gets and maybe try to mess with it on the way home Friday, but 25” with drifts might be a bit much for all at once😅. If Yarbo gets “stuck” is it best to just remotely shut it down so the battery doesn’t drain? [Screenshot_20251124-161805]

So if you shut it down and leave it, the battery won’t heat itself. If you put it on the charger, it will warm up the battery first before charging if it is too cold, that is correct. You probably wouldn’t be able to start the charging process until the battery was sufficiently heated. If under 85% then it would auto start charging eventually.

It won’t heat it in the cold weather though. Gonna be tough on that battery.

Yuck. Sorry to see your Yarbo stuck in the snow like that. I feel like this is another good example of why the external battery charging cable should be included with Yarbo. No one wants to be lugging a dead 200 pound robot through the snow back to the garage to charge it! And most people really shouldn’t be trying to move it. Good way to get a heart attack.

Luckily I’m still young enough for now…I’ll blow a path with the 2 stage and/or tractor and it should be able to boot and drive to the dock…just a fluke storm, and I think I have better ways to handle something similar in the future. It will take a while to heat up and charge but should be good to go by the next day.

Hang in there Yarbo, spring is coming!

Especially since the wired charger and possibly (not entirely sure) the wired charging port on the core are not weather proof.

Yeah…let’s go with that…:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile::joy::joy: [Screenshot_20251126-191319] [Screenshot_20251126-191602]

Added a few more videos here, also here’s where Yarbo’s final resting place for the night looks like😅 [Screenshot_20251126-212203] [Screenshot_20251126-212113]

Poor thing! It’s gonna be completely buried by morning!

Anybody hear Bing Crosby playing in the background? Baby it’s cold outside! :joy:
