New update 3.18.6
I did not even get the firmware yet.
me neither![]()
Looks like they also changed something related to backing into Deadends. Had one I hadn’t correct yet and it went it headfirst as intended today. Others might want to check Memory Paths to see if anything is different.
Not a documented fix, but a welcome one if so.
Mine has been nothing but an ornament, hasn’t mowed a blade of grass yet
I just got the update, it won’t go mow, it won’t go to the charger, I drive it onto the charger and it won’t charge, I’ve restarted it 5 times, unplugged the battery for a while plugged it back in.. nothing.. dead robot.. just errors no matter what I tell it to do. Disappointing..
Mine has been mostly good outside the bugs introduced in changes, but I know plenty of others have encountered showstopping issues. Post as much detail as you can and we’ll try to help. Some things require support to resolve.
Looking for verification from someone else. In my case a DE started working correctly.
Explore Mode and 2nd Lift Toggle gone in .6. Nothing updated in release notes.
Seems like you cannot edit your maps without turning in the cloud sync. @Yarbo-Forum is that the intention?
When you click edit map you get a Popup explaining the new cloud sync. It gives the option to say not now or agree and continue. But not now doesn’t allow you to continue to edit the maps.
So this is now required?
Mine has lost the GPS signal. Happened in the middle of mowing session. Drove it to an open place, but no signal there. Drove it to the docking station, refuses to charge (please place the rover in the middle of the charging station, not that easy when it is 500 km away even with smart vision). Soon the battery is empty, then I have a 1000 km round-trip to try to fix it. Have restarted several times. It will not drive to the docking station without a GPS signal, even if it is next to it.
I’m located in Sweden, but that shouldn’t impact the GPS signal. Worked like a charm last year.
Solved it by updating the app… now it’s charging, very strange… the app should warn if it is not compatible with the firmware.
@andris.leja @rgloverii @merkswood Could you please update the app to V3.18.6 and check if these issues still occur?
I can confirm that up and down button on the lower blades works as before and the issue is at least on Android phone fixed.
Also pressing the support center doesn’t anymore make the application restart automatically. However. My open ticket is still missing. Also it doesn’t show that I ever had any old already closed tickets. And I have had plenty.
Hi there, do you have an open support ticket for this issue? This may not be related to the update and will require further investigation by our team.
Mow height buttons issue was resolved by latest app hotfix.
Regaring submitting a support ticket through the app - once i tried several times - got some general error about failure and never tried again and using the web page instead.
Mine hasn’t worked since I unboxed it and this firmware did not fix anything. I’m looking to get a refund this thing is a joke
Also with all the messing around I’ve done with this I could have mowed my yard three times on my zero turn.
Yarbo is trying to be Tesla but instead coming off like Ford; the Lightning EV failed due to the same type of issues. What they can do is assume that we are their true beta testers, market it as such and know profitable will come once we have helped worked out all the kinks. Our reward should be lifetime warranty or free upgrade/large discount when the new improved product comes out in 7 years. In the interim, like Tesla building their FSD with early adopters, see what works and doesn’t but treat us as part of the early team and advertise as a work in progress for a final product.
Big issues:
- Stable navigation for robot autonomy. I don’t know the answer but Halow, GPS, RTK & Lidar … figure out what works best as primary and then two backups. With failure, robot stops initiates a reboot to a previous working state prior to the error. Robot sends a message to user alerting them of the issue. Robot on a weekly basis saves while charging new working state of all new plans/changes.
- Better connection between modules. No more SB malfunction in the middle of winter or LM failure at the start of the season.
- Making mapping easier. For example, after I mow my lawn, I would like to map out with my blower the exact path with spins and all to blow my driveway, sidewalk and path to my house in the most efficient manner. I would like that saved and able to execute after each mowing session without worrying about erroneous phantom areas like “unable to perform due to No go zone.”
- Make it easier to manually run the LM/SB with the cameras and the map for the 10% Yarbo can’t perform. Right now I have the map on one IPAD, the cameras on another and my iPhone as the controls running the borders, etc that i don’t trust Yarbo to do. Some people have allergies, or can take the heat so it would be nice to make it functional remotely.
- Use the camera for going back on the docking station. Someone already mention having a QR code thing that can be placed behind the docking station. The camera can see this and along the other navigation tools, back on to the docking station without the 10 minute dance. Simple device to clip on the docking station with this being raised like a flag.
Yarbo…Wake up!! We are your beta testers, your influencers and your fan club…treat us as such!
Thanks
Something with this update severely broke the GPS/wifi connection. Just updated to firmware 3.13.11 and app 3.18.6 this morning. (mowed just fine last night before the update). When i send it out, it will mow for about a minute then give a “waiting for gps signal” error. Can only reconnect if i get close. I am losing wifi connection and the app is also losing connection constantly. Anyway to roll back to a previous version of the firmware?
