Random question, but I’m going off of my best guess to say there are currently 4 versions: 2023, 2024, Y40, Y40P.
How does one differentiate the 2024 and Y40?
Random question, but I’m going off of my best guess to say there are currently 4 versions: 2023, 2024, Y40, Y40P.
How does one differentiate the 2024 and Y40?
Flexible antenna mounts, and pro antenna’s. Other thing to note is the quieter drive system. So Y40 has some nice upgrades.
The Y40 is the 2024+ models. Depending on when it was manufactured, there are slight design tweaks here and there but they are all the same model. The Y40P is essentially the same with a different track plate design and hub motors. All Y40’s come with the Pro Antennas and flex mounts now. If you get replacements under warranty, you will get the Pro and Flex mounts. If you get a new track assembly, it will be the quieter one. If you get a refurb unit, it will have the plastic interior protector installed and a lot of the other updates.
Because Yarbo seems to always iterate their hardware, a Y40 purchased in early 2025 would be a bit different than a Y40 purchased today. I’m sure the Y40P and the M series will be the same, they’re always trying to improve the robot hardware.
Very minor changes overall. The M is a whole new category and is quite different.
Exactly. They rapidly iterate the hardware, similar to what Tesla does. Small upgrades and enhancements as they observe failure points or ways to make things better.
