I just watched the IFA 2025 in Berlin YouTube video and noticed something. Maybe it’s nothing but looks like something due to the camera angle. …or…maybe it’s an in-development rear mount accessory that at least I haven’t seen yet. What do you think?

It’s probably a secret for Yarbo users. It’s just to attract new ones. ![]()
Well, right off the bat, this new Yarbo appears to be called the ‘Yarbo Pro’ based on the verbiage on the sides.
The sensor on the top of the core looks like a LiDAR or 360° camera to me.
In today’s live stream, Ryan believed the top sensor is LiDAR. These are prototypes so who knows when a new version would be released.
Yeah, I’m certain a lot of people whom are currently Yarbo owners would not be happy if the “Yarbo Core Pro” would be available soon. ![]()
I try to look at it this way, it’s only going to get better! Sure, it would’ve be nice if our current Yarbo Core was equipped with LiDAR. Yet, like everything else… ![]()
…I bought a brand new Sony TV last year. It works great and had all the latest features. However, a year later it is now outdated!

I think Yarbo is heading in the right direction and will thrive in future months, years. So, I’m definitely on board – gosh, only after spending a small fortune.

Yep, I suppose perhaps I should start saving money now.

Saving up for the next big thing…
The Yarbo Core PRO!!!

A lot of these new Chinese tech companies are on very rapid product development timelines. Not just Yarbo. Seems to be the norm these days.
Doesn’t feel good when last year’s flagship product almost immediately becomes outdated. But the flip side is that new customers get the latest tech sooner.
I don’t care if ours becomes outdated in a second, if it works. Upgrading the product hardware to deliver the features we were sold, suggests we’ll be left behind.
They stated to take full responsibility of the marketing promises.
For that, we deserve the product we were promised. That means working software with or without the necessary hardware upgrades. Any other improvements on new offerings are fair game.
Yes, I completely agree. Current hardware shouldn’t be left behind without resolving any outstanding issues both with hardware or software. Any promised features need to be fulfilled.
Hopefully we will all get what we were promised. Yarbo (company) seems to be working towards that goal.
Anyone get any new specs on the “Pro Core”?
Co-Founder Ken K said on Friday to someone on FB that it is just a concept. If there are specs, I would love to see them though.
Now I gotta bleach my retinas
lol! That was funny
Companies do this all the time. The product you can buy is usually a generation or more behind from what the development team is working on. Imaging writing to a car company and demanding to know what the next version of the car you bought will be because you bought the currently released model 6 months ago when a new model might come out that has stuff you might want. Seems odd, right?
True, but if said car kept driving into houses or other cars they would issue a recall or it would be be covered under lemon law.
You’re not wrong. My opinion is Yarbo has hardware down really well. The firmware on the other hand…. One of these days they’ll, hopefully, drastically mature their development process and higher some top devs.
I am owner of Da Jiang (DJI) drones for 10 years from Phantom times. They are also releasing new products all the time each year. The difference is that most features advertised are working from the moment product arrives to the customer and small issues are fixed with 1-2 updates later. The latest product I purchased was DJI Mini Pro 4 as travel drone and it worked as expected from the day it arrived and I was shocked how visible was difference comparing to DJI Spark travel drone I owned previously.
In this scenario I do not have any issues if company develops new products on yearly basis, because products I purchased worked as expected from day 1.
Completely different idea is to run away from issues and non fully operational product (non working features) thru release of completely new product (non compatible to the old one). This is definitely not the same story.
If Yarbo advertises it as modular product and frame of the core is exactly the same should be partial upgrade option for existing customers to get items from newer product - replace mainboard (same mounting point or thru adapter), install extra equipment like lidar, cameras with better resolution, more powerful wheel motors etc.
In this scenario at least customer can follow product until it works fully as expected for partial price, instead of replacing core fully.
If I had more ambition this is what I would have replied with. Well said!
