Yea, this type of a feature has been requested a lot.
Not sure why they don’t implement it. Seems like low hanging fruit to me.
Hi there,
Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll share this with our team. While a feature like “Long Exit” may rely on improved visual technologies, I’ll discuss the feasibility of adding it with the team and see what’s possible.
We appreciate your idea!
Thanks, but for what visual, every people who install the station see by himself if it is 3 m space in front of the station ? Also STIGA have it, the robot drive blindly 1-3,5m away from the station. Nobody should have a obstacle in front!!
Agreed, but there could be an obstacle. Maybe the wind blew over a garbage can or there is a child playing there. If you start manually this shouldnt be a problem but if its scheduled it could be.
This has nothing to do with long exit
I think the correct solution to this is for Yarbo to follow the path as mapped!
We are required to add a path from the dock. The path can be 1ft or 10ft or Xft. Yarbo follows this path as designed BUT then it does a 180deg turn in front of the dock. In my case, I have deep gravel near my dock, so Yarbo is going along fine, then does a ridiculously fast 180 turn (or tries) to, and digs a little gravel pit. Meanwhile Yarbo only got 3/4 of the way through its pirouette and tries to back up, missing the dock entirely!
Instead, Yarbo should follow the map, do the 180 at the far end of the path 1ft, 10ft, or Xft away, then back up the rest of the way. This way the user has control of where the safe place for the 180 is, and would satisfy those who wish to have a Yarbo house.
