Mower caster wheels- is this normal?

These are a year old and I don’t remember if this is how they are designed to roll or not. Is that normal?

Indeed it is great that Yarbo will send you the replacement wheels for free. I have had mine replaced twice already. First I got replaced the original ones, like here on the photo. I was sent similar looking ones, but clearly built using better quality parts. If I remember correctly the newer ones have some red color somewhere… Those did last longer, but finally also broke and I got another shipment with new replacements.

I have bought similar diameter castor wheels from hardware store. Also finally have found solid steel ones as well. They are not expensive and as the “rim” part is made out of steel, those wheels will most likely survive the full life circle of the Yarbo’s mower. Even when you have very uneven terrain to mow as do I have

Do you have a link for the steel casters as I would like to get a set for mine?

My original ones are holding up so far. But the newer design is even better from what I’ve seen. Sounds like it is 3rd generation at least.

Remove one and take it with you to Harbor Freight. You’ll find a couple that’ll work, pick your favorite.

Today I received my long waited replacement mower. In Europe we where all waiting the new shipment to arrive from China and there is now new version of wheels Yarbo is using. Made out of some plastic but plastic can be strong. Those look solid.

Yep, the new wheels seem better. I still have the original design and haven’t had any issues yet.

You need to mow more grass, I wore out my first set in just a few months. :upside_down_face:

I mow an acre several times a week, sometimes more. Not super rough terrain, but some roots, dips, holes. :man_shrugging:

But then you have multiple cores, so that reduces wear and tear.

I do but both of them mow 10-11 months out of the year too. Only one typically gets the S1 when we get snow. The one with the mower keeps mowing all zones as long as it’s above freezing out. If they are going to fail, I hope it fails under the factory warranty.
