The problem is the plastic cap is bolted on with the blades, same bolt, how stupid. I see guys are 3d printing ones that lets the blade be bolted on, and the cap is bolted on over the blade and bolts.
Yarbo you can do better.

They have redesigned the cap now 2 times. The most recent one actually has metal embedded into the area where the bolt is. So you are bolting onto the metal vice the plastic.
I changed blades about a week ago, and all my bolts were loose. Bad design
Changed mine a month ago and all still tight. They didn’t even have loctite on them.
Mine did not have loctite either
Same here.
So far, my blades are still on and don’t seem to be loose. I do plan to pull the mower head here in the next few days and inspect/sharpen the blades. I’ll make sure to take pictures and report here what I find. I would estimate that I’ve probably got close to a 100 hours of run time on my unit at least, maybe more.
Ok, yesterday I removed the blades, sharpened them, then reassembled everything adding the Locktite. Gave it the full 24hrs to cure, and started running jobs again today. I’ll check the blades again next weekend and report back what I find.
How dull were they? Did they still have much of an edge to them?
The one that fell off was pretty dull, not much of an edge on either side. Maybe it had hit something that also caused it to loosen more quickly? The other one still had a bit of an edge to it, but definitely needed sharpening. This is after about a month of constant use.
I’m still tweaking my area boundaries to avoid hard brush at the edges, tree roots, etc., so I’m hoping to get more life out of the blades once I get everything dialled in.
