@mike1 I understand your urgency regarding the replacement battery. As our field service engineer mentioned in your support ticket, we do need to follow our internal SOP to initiate the replacement process and ensure everything is handled correctly. We have already requested the logistics team to arrange the shipment as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate your patience while waiting for the replacement to arrive.
Yes, I got an email this morning - just so everyone can see the bureaucracy of this company, the email included:
āInternal policy requires that every replacement request be submitted as a formal ticket, then signed off by After-sales, Finance, and the regional service manager before Logistics can create the outbound shipmentā.
All you are missing is a quick blessing from the Pope and you have out done the famous Italian Bureaucracy known the world over.
Still no ship date or acknowledgment if the person from yesterday that said āI donāt know if we even have any in stockā.
I stand in amazement. This product could be so good, and I suspect would disrupt this entire sector, but then you have all the issues from quality, software engineering, this internal policy shenanigans. I shake my head because this product should be a dominant force with the right leadership.
Added the HA-609s -found them on my own. Seem to be getting consistently higher CNR values so far. Very unscientific data collection. Itās just me periodically checking. Was getting 40-42 readings lotta 38s. All 3 except the GAL like 43+ more than not. Been seeing 45s as well.
L2 22
1214-before regularly
Total Sats: 30+
22-28-before regularly
Have them mounted on the flex mounts as well.
Same results I am seeing, with limited runs so far because the battery is broke now, but I think these are good antennas. Then again @Yarbo-Forum said they have magical power and can change your environment so who knows.
Iāll take magic ![]()
Cool that those antennas seem to be making a difference. If the results end up being consistently better, Iāll probably have to pick up a pair myself.
Christmas is just around the corner @rgloverii encase you wanna pick me up a set too. ![]()
I was hoping you were gonna say youād pick some up for ME for Christmas!! ![]()
I feel a lump of coal coming my way. ![]()
Coal is very useful. ![]()
Enough time and pressure its a diamond right?
Preach, Uncle @ken.w.gregory !
Thanks for sharing the update on that. I would love to know if this is something we could get through Yarbo directly to avoid any warranty issues. @Yarbo-Forum ? Should I check my stocking on XMAS morning? ![]()
Yeah I think Yarbo sent these ones to @mike1 i just nabbed them on my own being proactive to try to solve some of my own internment issues. Same/Same hopefully.
@ben.karrow is correct, sent from Yarbo China to me.
Currently, we have limited stock and are still verifying the performance of this type of antenna. Because of that, weāre only providing it through our after-sales channel for users who are experiencing GPS challenges and are willing to give it a try. Thank you for understanding!
And the Yarbo bureaucracy continues. Still no battery and FedEx that has the package now says it will be at least another week, the package has been sucked into a blackhole apparently. Now this is not the fault of Yarbo, but they can still fix it. Are they? I have been told for 2 days now that they are, but no package or update. Calls simply increase your blood pressure from the run around. In short, I was to get a replacement battery after back and forth for over a week. It was to go overnight. It did not, but thatās okay, shipped on Thursday and be here Tuesday. When I saw it was still in California Monday I called FedEx they said at least a week more. Then to Yarbo and was told China would have to deal with it, that is the location of logistics. Today from another apparent manager: āYes, I can see it should have been overnighted, I will email the relevant departmentā. If this place was run like a normal company, they would call the dedicated shipper service number for Fedex and give current information. If FedEx couldnāt intercept and get routed next day, they would ship one priority overnight from the Yarbo warehouse and have FedEx turn the original package around. If they knew how this worked, they could get a credit for both shipments, and it would not cost them one dollar and end up with a happy customer. All of this could have been done yesterday and I would have still gotten the package on Tuesday (today). Instead, Yarbo handles it like they always doā¦disappointment after disappointment. At this point I will assume it is lost in FedEx land and it will take a month for Yarbo to sort it out. A freshman intern at a state college for business would do a better job running things.
I have played around the new higher gain antennas for 5 days. I installed those on top of the flexible extensions.
Regularly the satellite count is +4 to 5 more then it was with the original antennas. Biggest change is the signal quality. Now it is constantly 0,91⦠something. Even close to the 100+ year old pine trees. This is a change and upgrade to the right direction!
I bought the antennas trough AliEx. 42 euros for one. Expensive. Somewhat. Worth the money. Yes
