What’s going on? Any advice on how to improve GPS lock?
I see a ton of satellites but it won’t seem to lock in. Nothing environmental had changed. But maybe solar flares? Or a software change?
Do you have PPVS disabled? If so, try enabling it. If not, you may have one of the more recent glitches.
Does disabling PPVS now completely break things?
I would hope not but seems to cause some issues.
It’s gotten worse. I can barely get a GPS signal lock, and if I do and try to move, it loses it and comes back, and then loses it.

Hmm.. Your data latency is high. Does your connections status always say 3 or does it flip between 2 and 3?
Your HaLow signal is very weak too. -80 it starts switching to cellular. Is it far from the DC or in a valley or something?
I was referring to the DC connection status. It shows 2 now, so that is normal and expected. It will flip between 2 and 3. 3 with latency would indicate a problem, especially with poor HaLow.
I had forgotten about your broken HaLow. That makes sense now. Data latency looks like it is normal now. Maybe you did the DC survey mode right before you copied and pasted that output previously?
You know, I’ve been surprised by how much the HaLo connection effects the GPS lock. I’d been battling with a sudden decline in GPS accuracy after one of my original antennas failed and I used a third party antenna I’d bought to experiment with. For a while now I’d noticed that the HaLo antenna had a small bend in it near the base of the whip, but I thought, “It’s a whip antenna! A slight bend in the conductor shouldn’t effect it that much.” Then my replacement arrived. I went from mid 60’s back to low 50s to upper 40s sitting on the charging pad, and from 80-90s half way out in my yard to 70-80s at the edge of the yard. Now the GPS stays green a LOT more often.
Now I just need to get out and put my replacement BLE and HaLo antennas on the DC… Which is easier said than done considering it means wrangling a 16’ extension ladder. ![]()
The data stream (RTCM) does impact GPS. If the stream is poor or nonexistent, then Yarbo will show no GPS. Also shows this if the app loses connection to the core (which is a red herring).
