With so many user complaints about what happens to their core units after a update perhaps providing owners with a 24-hour notice of a forthcoming update and allow users to opt out of updates completely but have them on the website so people can go back and manually download and install if they choose to do so later? Not sure why people have so many issues after an update whether they’re experiencing packet loss or there’s some other issue
Currently, users can choose to skip a firmware update if they prefer not to update immediately.
Regarding your suggestion of allowing users to manually download and install firmware updates later if they choose to do so, I’ll share this feedback with our team for further consideration.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and suggestions!
Not true. My core was updated and I never got the option to disagree. I wanted to stay at 3.13.5 and said so many times. And woke up one morning and it was on the new firmware that wrecked my bot… (literally wrecked, antenna snapped, the plastic is now all scratched, in addition to no lights, goes out of bound, ghosts with vision off but goes out of perimeter with off, spinning (I know they were reported by others but never happened to me before this new update). Again, love the bot but maybe let the owners control their own hardware if at least by controlling the updates?
There were two recent updates where we did not provide an option to skip the update. We apologize for the previous misunderstanding.
We understand your concern about having more control over firmware updates, and we will take this feedback into consideration for future updates.

“Skip” is very different from “Delay”. I want the update, but now might not be convenient. OWNERS should decide when new firmware is installed. Yes Yarbo should download and stage the new software, but don’t initiate the installation unless the Owner has enabled Automatic Updates somewhere in Settings.
Many of us have experienced the frustration of being away from the Yarbo/Property and struggling to get it working again due to interaction with new firmware. Having to work through unknowledgeable people (specifically unknowledgeable of Yarbo) by verbally instructing your neighbor, colleague, spouse, or friend. It is tedious & frustrating and 100% avoidable.
“Skip” should continue to be offered, but “Postpone X days” where the Owner decides the X day per occurrence is much more appropriate and Owner friendly.
