Am I correct in my understanding…with NetRTK it’s the DC which no longer requires its RTK antenna, and the DC becomes just a HaLow relay base?
You are exactly correct. NetRTK uses someone else’s DC (a commercial service and professionally serviced base station in your local area). So yes, you just need internet to the core for NetRTK to work. HaLow is the longest range and most efficient and cost effective, but WiFi and cellular work too.

One more question - in my hunting around the web on all this, AI brought up a note from somewhere that the RTK- high posts are specifically designed for the snow blower attachment only, and should not be used for the Lawnmower PRO attachment…however there were no such instructions included when my Yarbo kit arrived, so I just assumed they should be installed and did so when I put mine together. Now wondering whether there is some connection between this, and my antenna failure…do you have any knowledge of this?
There used to be low and high mounts. Low was recommended for the mower and leaf blower. High mounts for the snow blower. There was no rule or requirement that it wouldn’t work either way. But definitely for snow, you had to use the high mounts to get the antennas above the snow more. They have since switched to flexible mounts. So if the antenna hits something, the mount will flex and deflect out of the way. The OG RTK antennas are somewhat fragile. So it’s possible that an impact could damage them. The Pro antennas are far more robust and can take impacts well. Most likely the antennas got water inside them and shorted or corroded out the amplifier, got damaged by an impact, or had some sort of manufacturing defect. The mounts would only come into play on an impact. But the short mounts would actually make things worse, as there is no mount to break, only the antenna itself. The high mounts at least snap at the mount usually (the old plastic style). So the flex mounts really are a good upgrade. No more swapping either.
Hi Bryan…FINALLY received replacement RTK antennas this week. Installed them and instantly had GPS green on the rover.
However in the meantime, all my maps have disappeared, and the “Create a map” button is greyed out/unavailable on the app.
HaLow is green, GPS is green, DC is green, RTK status is 4, remote control works, I can drive it around, but I can’t create a map.
All firmware is showing “latest”.
Any ideas?
Glad to hear that fixed your GPS issue. Try disabling bluetooth on your phone and leaving the app open for a minute or two on the main screen to see if your map shows up. If it doesn’t, then pull the battery cable for 5 mins and hold the power button for 60 seconds when turning it on.
