Plow has a flaw

I’m trying to resolve the issue to get the snow blower executing the plan or go to dock station to recharge first, then work on the module height issue. Do you think I should open a ticket for the height issue regardless of the first problem?

I think the root cause of the problem is that it can’t set the module height.

I believe the plan (either the snow blowing plan, or the recharge plan) require the module height to be adjusted to the configured height in order to continue the plan.

theoretical steps to run a snow blowing plan:

  1. fire up the auger.
  2. adjust module height to configured height.
  3. follow the plans movement lines.

(I’m guess at this series of steps, but it helps illustrate what I think the problem is. )

Since it is “stuck” at 6.2cm you may be able to adjust the areas “module heights” to be 6.2cm and see if it will proceed with the plan. This would need to be set on any and all areas, pathways, sidewalks, etc. It will likely fail to dock at the charging station as it will try to clean the docking station and won’t be able to adjust the height to do that.

This may be a dumb question but when you say disconnected the module do you mean physically removing the entire module or just disconnecting the wired connection.

Can you easily connect another module and see if it behaves properly?

I was just coming here to say the same thing…

Can you easily remove the Snowblower module and instead attach the SAM module (if you have it) and see if Yarbo is able to properly function that way? Even the SAM is able to be raised and lowered via the app.

Good idea. I think I may try the SAM first instead of the mower module.

I did physically disconnect the snow blower module and the wire and reconnect them again. I will try to connect the SAM as RG suggested because that is an easy one. I do not think the docking station is the issue because I tried it before, but I could be wrong.

Relocating the docking station doesn’t make sense to me, but I don’t have all the facts either.

If I understand you correctly, I just looked and see the area setting for the Augur was set at Max 5.10 cm. it cannot go higher than that. My other guess is that I wonder if the new plastic cover they sent is jamming the actuator. So installing the SAM would be a good start as RG suggested.

Good thought about the plastic cover. So when you disconnect the snowblower, take a look inside and make sure the linear actuator is free to move without issue.

Also, don’t forget to disconnect the battery before swapping modules.

Good luck!! Let us know what you find out.

Sounds like a good plan.

You shouldn’t have to disconnect the battery. Just power it down.

I have been swapping modules without having to disconnect the battery, but will hear other opinions

Agreed. Safety settings, shutdown is good enough. Battery disconnect for 5 mins if you’re having problems is a good troubleshooting step though.

I typically do safety settings shutdown.

Since he’s exhibiting such a weird issue, I figured it would be best to completely power it down and restart it.

Here’s an update for the issue that prevented Yarbo from executing the plan or go to recharge. First I installed the SAM to check if the linear actuator is working. It did not work. Second I removed the plastic cover to see what preventing the linear actuator from working, I found that one cable J6 was disconnected when I installed the plastic cover . I reconnected the cable J6 again and installed snow blower module. Checked the linear actuator it was working again. I tried the snow blower again every thing worked except the obstacle avoidance still may need improvement. Yarbo could not see the hitch on the truck. So the docking station was not the issue as Yarbo support suggested. Thank you all for providing ideas. This is good for everyone.

Glad you figured it out! Yes obstacle avoidance still needs work. It is still in beta.
