Plow questions

2 questions about using the plow

  1. One side of my driveway is a retaining wall. Is there a way to have Yarbo plow only one way? Or have it rotate and plow towards the street? When I mapped the area it wants to go back and forth, but one side the plow would only push it against a wall.
  2. I have a raised edge of driveway that’s part way down my driveway. Is there a good way to have Yarbo plow close to the surface but also get over the 1 inch lip? Can I get the plow to go up/down for part and the “right” on others to work around the area?

Hi there, thanks for your questions.

  1. Based on the current design, once you set the snow plowing direction, Yarbo will plow back and forth rather than pushing snow to the same side each time. A possible workaround is to draw multiple sidewalks in the app to guide the plowing in your preferred way.

  2. Regarding your second question about the 1-inch lip, unfortunately the plow height is unified within a single working area, so it’s not possible to adjust the height up and down for different sections.

Can i distinguish the plow vs snowblow if I draw the sidewalks as mentioned? Or do I have to control that by toggling th eplow mode and selecting the correct plan (a bunch of sidewalks for directional plowing vs a single area snow blowing)

Plow mode is a global toggle. You’d have to turn it off for the sidewalks and any areas you would want to have the auger turned on for. You’d also have to unscrew and detach the plow (unless you are using plow mode without the plow).

is there an advantage to using the plow mode without the plow?

If you don’t have a plow. Otherwise, use the plow. :joy:

It will pack snow and ice up into the snow blower pretty good if you do use the S1 only in plow mode. If you take the unit in the garage after to thaw, not a huge deal. Otherwise, you have to take some time to scrape it out after the run.
