Would love a cable and documented way to power something off of Yarbo battery. I run many modules for home assistant. Ability to power something like a fan for battery cooling or a way to open a gate, grass moisture detector, maybe even a 12v pump for sprayer. Not to lie I saw something in a post along with homeassistant api concerning a similar feature. Just a simple power off with defined voltage would already help some of us more maker minded would be amazing. Also would help integrate advanced features for home assistant.
Did you see the core bridge is coming soon? I think that is kind of what you’re looking for.
Here is one of the announcements.
Yea, CoreBridge would probably be the closest to what you’re looking for. One caveat though…
They are stating 2027 for the CoreBridge module. So it’s gonna be a while. I wouldn’t be holding my breath. Best to buy a portable power station for the time being.
Anecdote time- Originally Yarbo was going to sell a power station module thingy. It looked like a cube. You’d put your Yarbo battery into it, and then you could power 120v items off it. They used to bring it to all their events and actually power their booth using it. I have pics of it somewhere…
I hope corebridge comes soon…I have a couple of modules I have planned…powering it with a separate battery would suck. Have a couple of meetings set up to build.
Best pic I could quickly find of the Yarbo Power Station module. Sorry for the zoomed in quality. It just happened to be in the background of a pic I took.
This is from CES 2023. The module had 3 120v power outlets with 600 watts, and a couple of USB A and USB C outlets. There was a tiny screen on the top that showed battery power and output stats.
Yeah I wish this wasn’t canceled. I’d love to have it as an added accessory.
Early 2027 at the soonest as it will require their open platform to be useable.
I would also love to have the power station. ![]()
Bring back the power station!!! ![]()
Jackery, Bluetti, and a plethora of others. It’s an already crowded market.
Yeah but I have spare Yarbo batteries and none of those.
you can get two of these for the price of one Yarbo battery.
I can’t. I bought the Yarbo battery. ![]()
But I would accept one as a Christmas gift. ![]()
I’ll trade you one Anker one for one Yarbo battery. ![]()
Yeah that is what I was referring to as far as what I read in another post. My thought honestly is I know power is already coming out of the ports. Guess I could dig in and determine the specs. Not wanting to wait…
Nice sharing—this is a really interesting way to expand what Yarbo can do.
Appreciate you outlining these use cases, especially around Home Assistant integration and external device support.
