reinforcement learning - override obstacles

In the case when Yarbo avoids an obstacle that really should be mowed, allow the operator to override the obstacle and teach Yarbo what’s a false positive. I currently am facing this issue with tall grass, about 6” tall fescue. Yarbo keeps thinking it’s an obstacle. It was worse during night mowing but still occurring during daytime.

If you have NGZ’s defined and or are comfortable with the bumper only activations, you can set gentle contact mode and it will mow down the tall grass without issue. Honestly, unless you have a very complex yard with lots of tiny obstacles, NGZ’s and gentle contact mode is the recommended default by the user community.

I will try that, ty.

Thank you for your suggestion. We may not consider adding this feature in the short term, but we are actively working on improving obstacle detection and avoidance accuracy. In the meantime, you can try Bryan’s suggestion to help reduce false detections.

Vision at night sees a lot of ghosts. I switched to vision to see how it would do and ran it at nigh. It was not a pretty sight.

I had to create an area called “Cleanup on Aisle 1” to get the mess cleaned up.

I’m gently touch now until the release notes talk about better vision.

Hahaha love the name.

Honestly really haven’t had an issue here. But there is a bug that it turns the lights off when starting and it will throw all sorts of red as a result. Make sure your cameras are working and maybe try again. Also make sure they are all clean.
