I would like to see a “Resume” feature for those cases where something unexpected goes wrong during a work plan. for instance the other night my yarbo was about 75% done with a mow when for some reason one of the discs got stuck. this required me to stop the work plan and repair one of the blades. It only took me about 5 minutes to fix, but my 18,000 sq ft lawn was now only 75% mowed and I had to restart the entire work plan. it would be nice if we had the option to pick up where it left off. Thanks
when you hit start you can use the slider to set the percentage you want it to start at. It’s single percentages and not 72.2% for example, but you could start it at 75% and have it essentially start where it left off with some slight overlap.
Awesome! Thanks!
If the workplan is set to rotate at all, re-running from a set % will not line up at all. I suppose that’s assuming that the workplan rotation takes effect when the workplan starts. If it doesn’t rotate the workplan (for next time) until the workplan completes, I suppose starting at a set % would work fine.
Since it calculates when you start a workplan, I assume it does it at the start. Does Yarbo only calculate the rotation if the previous workplan in that area completed successfully?
Anyone know the logic behind when and how Yarbo rotates the workplan?
In my experience…
With the config set for area, then perimeter -
I think I once witnessed it adjusting it after the area, but before the perimeter was finished.
Any time I’ve stopped the task during the area, the angle stays the same.
Once I stopped the task during the perimeter (after the area) and the angle DID change.
So, it might adjust at the start of the perimeter, or more likely at the end of the area.
The rotation only takes effect after 100% completion of the work plan. So if you paused a plan and stopped it, then started again later, it would be the same rotation pattern as previously run until the job hits 100% and then it changes the settings and starts the auto recharge.
That is great to know, thanks,
I ran into a situation this weekend but wasn’t able to test the outcome due to other errors…but wondering if you know…
If a workplan contains 3 areas, and upon running the workplan, area 1 completes and only part of area 2 completes before the workplan is stopped. If I restart the same workplan, will the path Yarbo uses to complete area 1 be the same as the last time since the entire workplan did not complete or will it be rotated since area 1 was completed despite the entire plan not being completed?
Similarly, if I run a different workplan now that only contains area 1, will the path be rotated from the last run or not..??
Thanks,
That’s an interesting question. My assumption would be that as it completes the area it would modify the rotation degrees. You should be able to edit the area settings to see what it set it to. The rotation shouldn’t matter for the work plan, as it is an area specific rotation setting.
Apologies for the late reply. I’ve checked with our product team regarding your question. The route rotation setting is applied on an area-by-area basis, not based on the entire work plan. So, in both scenarios you mentioned:
- If you restart the same work plan, the path for Area 1 will be rotated according to the rotation degree you’ve set, regardless of the work plan being incomplete.
- Similarly, if you run a new work plan that only contains Area 1, the path will be rotated based on the rotation setting for that area.
I hope this clarifies things! Let me know if you have any more questions.
Great, thank you!
