Wondering what to do about rust forming on the scraping element and augur edges? They seem cosmetic and i’ve tried to put some spray on it, but being a element that “scrapes” to pickup snow, it’s going to come off pretty soon. Is there a maintenance for this? do i just keep taking the rust off and spraying? My main area of question is the augur itself since it’s not replaceable, but the scrape blade thats just inside the snowblower i’m guessing is?
Dare I say a little rust is normal. Yarbo recommends hitting it with WD40 for storage. Yes, the scraper bar is a consumable and replaceable. It is in the accessories store. For the auger itself, you could hit it with some touch up paint after cleaning off the rust. They had recommended automotive grade touch up paint.

that was sorta my feeling on it too. Touch up when i can let it dry well off season.

Mine (2023 before the upgrade) came with black touch up paint. Do they still include it?

They don’t. It was apparently a kickstarter gift or special. No longer offered, unfortunately.
