I’d let it thaw out in the garage if you can and see if it continues. The sound is similar to others I’ve heard that is just ice buildup inside that goes away when thawed. As Ken mentioned, that might help with the potential balance issue. The bouncing I’ve seen a few other posts that have reported that. I don’t know if those got updated with what the resolution (if any) was. Since you updated the ticket, I would be curious to see what Yarbo support says and if thawing makes any difference.
As discussed in your support ticket, and also following Bryan’s suggestion, we kindly ask that you bring your Yarbo indoors and allow any snow or ice buildup to fully melt. Once the unit is completely clear, please try to recreate the issue and record a new video showing the auger behavior and the sound you’re hearing.
Sharing that updated video with us will help the team continue the diagnosis and better determine whether what you’re seeing is normal operation or something that needs attention. Thank you for your cooperation, and please let us know if you have any questions in the meantime.
I have the same problem; my auger can’t reach its speed, it runs out of power and freezes. I’ve sent several videos and photos, but the R&D team doesn’t justify a replacement. I love my Yarbo, I trust the team, but after five days, I want this fixed…
It shouldn’t be black or leave dust/residue like that. It’s supposed to be grayish color. Over time it may discolor a bit and go somewhat yellowish grey. That’s normal and expected.
I’m really sorry to hear about the issue, and I completely understand how frustrating this must be for you right now. I’ve already asked the field service engineer handling your case to work closely with the R&D team to perform a deeper analysis of the situation.
Please rest assured that we’re taking this seriously and will do our best to make things right as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and for your continued trust in the Yarbo team.
I did receive a message confirming the prompt replacement of the snowblower module on my Yarbo. I hope it’s a new one, as I take very good care of my things. Thank you very much !
From the beginning, I’ve trusted Yarbo so much that I’m trying to become a distributor in the Centre-du-Québec region of Quebec, Canada, but I haven’t received a response.
That’s going to depend on the type of snow and the type of surface you are clearing. Generally is best to run the winter tracks without the studs. Studs are for use in ice. If you have really dry snow that you could blow with a leaf blower and are clearing to zero on a hard surface like concrete or asphalt, you could probably get away with the summer tracks.
Chickened out with the forecast of 28 inches (we got like 5). I did use it on my other core in the back yard to clear a path for the dogs and it worked ok. I did get it stuck once in some deeper snow in the grass.
