Did anyone else notice that after the last firmware update the S1 no longer announces when a person is detected?
If I’m remembering correctly it used to announce “Person detected” when someone was within 12 or so feet (I can’t remember the exact distance). After the update I no longer hear that. The speaker is working because it still announces “Ready to work”.
Haven’t noticed but I keep mine muted. Have you checked it’s not muted? Even muted it will announce ready to work at boot.

In my opinion, the “Person Detected” warning needs to be expanded, because it really doesn’t give any instruction to people who just happen to be walking past Yarbo.
For example, if Yarbo is trying to warn a person that they are too close, it should say something like “Warning: Robot is operating autonomously. Please step back. ” or something like that.
When the SAM module is in Patrol mode, it should say something like “Warning: This area is under robotic surveillance. Please step away”
I didn’t think to check that but mine was set at 100%. I toggled it and it went from 100 to mute and back to 100 so thats isn’t the issue. Unless there is a bug where it needs to be toggled and then it will work again? I’ll see next time I run it.
Anyone else having this issue?
Latest firmware and my person detection worked, actually it peed me off as it works too good and keeps seeing me as I am trying to spy on it, lol.
This is my observation as well.
OMG I thought I was the only one! I’m always ‘hiding’ behind things like trees and whatnot because Yarbo sees me as a person and stops working. What a funny world we live in.
You aren’t. Worse is when you are trying to capture video for testing and it keeps stopping. First thing I turn off.
I turn it off when testing but want it on otherwise.
You have to hide behind trees and be sneaky AF.
The fence and the gate seem to work good enough. But yeah, turn it off for testing and on for running.

mine ‘works’ from the side and back. however if i am standing in front of it while the auger is running it will keep on trucking. Tis the season of this thing sending visions of Stephen King and Final Destination dancing in my head.
Final Destination scarred a generation. Still don’t drive behind logging trucks or flatbeds hauling any kind of pole.
Wow. Final Destination. I have to say, I liked that movie.
They recently made a new one. I need to watch it one of these days.
