It appears that snowblower settings (overlap, auger height, deflector angle, safety buffer, zero turn/reverse back, etc) for mapped work areas, paths, and sidewalks all get reset to default values if you re-load a previously saved master Yard map. This occurs even for mapped work areas/paths/sidewalks that remain unaltered.
I understand the need to re-create one’s work plans when changing back to a previously saved yard map, but considering the amount of trial and error, mapping & remapping, and tweaking it takes to get Yarbo to do what you want it to do- it would be nice to not have to waste time re-specifying all of the blower settings for each and every area, path, and sidewalk every time you have to revert back to a previous save when the new map you are testing causes an error/problem.
Individually mapped area/path/sidewalk names, shapes/dimensions, and throw directions are all retained until manually altered- just not any of the additional blower settings data.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for explaining the situation so clearly. Yes, at the moment, restoring a previously saved yard map does not restore the adjusted snowblower settings, and those values will reset to their defaults.
We understand how time-consuming it can be to reconfigure all of these settings after investing so much effort in mapping and fine-tuning. If more users share the same interest in preserving these settings when reverting to a saved map, I will be happy to pass this feedback along to our product team for consideration in future improvements.
We really appreciate you taking the time to point this out, and your input helps us continue to improve the overall user experience.
I agree. A full backup would be ideal. The partial backup we have now is a disappointment when the map is reloaded. The user expects a full back up and are disappointed when they find out they have to reset all the settings associated with he map.
