Shared Yarbo With Someone? Tell Us What Happened 🤝✨

Hey everyone,

We know many of you have used the Referral Program to introduce Yarbo to friends, neighbors, or family — thank you for helping the community grow! :raising_hands:

We’d love to hear the story behind it:

  • Who did you share Yarbo with?

  • How did the topic come up? (Did they see Yarbo working? Ask about it? You showed them?)

  • And what was their reaction?

Sometimes it’s curiosity, sometimes it’s excitement, sometimes it turns into a mini Yarbo demo in the yard😄

Whether it was a quick chat or a fun moment —we’d really enjoy hearing it.

Feel free to share your story below :backhand_index_pointing_down:Looking forward to reading them!

Team Yarbo

For years I wanted a robot lawn mower, but they were silly little plastic domes that randomly mowed a tiny little swath around the yard and were held inside a wire “dog fence” boundary that had its own issues. I was on the hunt for something better after buying a big piece of property.

My co-worker (and bad influence), Bryan Wheeler (Yarbo PPP) and I were talking in the office about robot lawn mowers one day. I showed him a gas powered remote controlled mower I was looking at seriously. He asked if I saw the Yarbo offerings. I saw them on Facebook, but thought it was too good to be true. There was some lengthy office chatter and some serious research, including Yarbo live demos on YouTube. Both of us won some discounts on YouTube lucky drawings. Then we were both hooked on the idea of getting Yarbo package deals soon. When the Father’s Day promo hit for the ‘24 Yarbo, Bryan jumped on it and bought his first. Then he told me about it arriving and the setup and installation. I needed to see this thing up close. I went over to his house for a cigar and bourbon hang-out with our other co-worker to see the Yarbo in action. It was told to start mowing his back yard lawn and got to work. We were fascinated by it’s operation. On the next big promotion, I went all-in and ordered my Yarbo package with all of the attachments. I received the snow blower setup and had fun manually using it for a while until I could install the Data Center. In the Spring, I mapped my lawn and started it mowing. My wife and I were fascinated watching Buzz LightYar mowing the lawn. She and I would look out the window or on the map to see what “He” (Buzz) was doing.

Yes, Yarbo returns mowing time for you to do other things. But, most of those things are on the wife’s “honey-do” list. LOL. I do admit, as a busy beekeeper couple, Yarbo has allowed us to invest more time in our beekeeping operation, assembling and painting bee equipment, and other bee tasks. We are now looking at getting a second Yarbo Core to go with our new Mower Pro. This will be for mowing the bee yard and other farm grounds. What takes two weekends per month and a trailer rental will soon be done by a second Yarbo. We are both excited by that returned time.

Our neighbors are now looking at our Yarbo working away on both properties and are seriously considering one for themselves. They love coming over to see how it works. We are very happy with our Yarbos. I guess Bryan’s a good influence after all, LOL!

I purchased my Yarbo in 2024 primarily to manage snow and leaf removal (with the occasional towing job). I never planned to use it beyond that. When it arrived just in time for the snow, I got it set up. My next-door neighbor later told me that the neighbor next to him, who was out shoveling snow, looked over and asked, “Is this real?” while “Tank” was chugging along, doing the work for me.

I’ve faced a few minor challenges along the way, but nothing too crazy. Yarbo support has been wonderful, too. Just yesterday, for example, I called them on a Saturday afternoon because I had an issue disengaging the snow blower module from the core. Thankfully, I only needed to adjust the module height in the app to get it to release. I’m hoping it will release as it should in future attempts, as I don’t normally keep the core powered on when I change modules.

Regarding the people I’ve been able to influence, I talk about Yarbo quite a bit at work and with any contractor or worker who visits my home. My manager even picked up the Mower Pro right around the time I won that same module in a YouTube Livestream! Hers was delivered, but it’s been so rainy in her part of Washington state that she’s only had a chance to use the core for towing things. I also recently received an email that someone used my referral link to make a purchase. Since I know it wasn’t anyone else at work who showed interest (yet!), I suspect it was one of the contractors I shared the link with.

So, having Tank take care of so much gives me back valuable time with my wife, Mari, and our three kids. I’m impatiently waiting for the edger module to ship for the next mowing season (since the snow just started falling a little here in Wisconsin), and I’m a little bummed that the granular spreader was canceled. I really hope you all can reconsider with a different design so that I can repurchase it in the future.

I’ll “leaf” you with this silly video where Veo 3 turned the Yarbo into a leaf dispenser rather than a blower
