Sidewalk mapping? (Getting snowblower to do a sidewalk)

When I map a sidewalk, it looks like yarbo “just follows the line”. If I want both half’s of a sidewalk, do I have to run it down and back as the same sidewalk? Or do I do two sidewalks one next to the other?

Hi there, thanks for your question. Just to confirm, are you asking if Yarbo should clear a sidewalk that is wider than the single line you’ve mapped? If so, the best way is to draw two parallel sidewalks in the app. This will allow Yarbo to cover the full width and complete the snow blowing task in that specific area.

YEah, so my sidewalk is 3ft wide but yarbo is narrower. So do you do a “sidewalk” and drive it up one side and down the other as 1 “sidewalk” or do you do 2 separate sidewalks side by side?

I believe you could do either. It is really your preference. If you have the room to U-turn the unit at the end and keep going, you could map it as one contiguous sidewalk. Or, like you said, just map two sidewalks side by side (with some overlap). You would have to add both to your work plan.

If you go into work preferences, you should be able to disable auger in work plan. This will let you test the plan without the auger running. Set your auger height up high and run a test afterwards and make sure everything runs as you’d expect.

Bryan has already provided a very detailed answer. You can choose either approach — whichever works best for your setup.
