I set up a dead-end path to clear in front of my mail box , the yarbo just ignored it when completing the plan. I do not see a way to add sidewalks to the plan.
Yes, this can be done. And sidewalks are the way to do it.
First, create the sidewalk zone you want Yarbo to clear, and set the options as you desire
Then, Edit your work plan. Select the zone(s) and sidewalk(s) you want to be included. Then sort them so the sequencing is what you desire.
Then save the change.
Does this make sense?
Also, the sidewalk needs to be connected to an area or a pathway.
Dead end or sidewalk?
Good question. Dead ends would not be available if the snow blower is attached. Sidewalks would be. Dead ends would be available only if the mower was attached. Or at least, should be.

Right, it is created under the sidewalks, but since the path returns to its starting point, it is, by definition, a dead end. I have 3 other sidewalks that join base to area, and area to area that the Bot does follow. The 2 that turn back on themselves do not get done. Based on other areas that have obstacles that I have had to change to paths so that the Bot would not get itself stuck, I do not have faith that if I try and add this as part of the area it will not get stuck on the side of the road.
You can have a sidewalk set such that Yarbo will zero turn at the end of the sidewalk to drive back out, or you can set it to just back up out of the sidewalk (driving in reverse).
I agree that getting stuck is a real possibility. When/if Yarbo gets stuck, it just kind of gives up and suspends the rest of the work plan. I don’t think it tries very hard to get unstuck.
And if you don’t notice the notification when the work plan is stopped (the notification doesn’t really explain that YARBO IS STUCK), you won’t know about it and Yarbo will just happily sit there indefinitely.
Hi there, it looks like the elements you added are “Pathways” rather than “Sidewalks.” In the Yarbo Snow Blower system, these two serve different purposes:
Pathway is used as a route to connect the docking station to a Working Area, or to connect two Working Areas together.
Sidewalk functions more like a Working Area itself. It defines a specific zone for Yarbo to clean, and unlike a Pathway, it doesn’t need to connect at both ends — it can end freely in an open space.
A Pathway can’t be added to a work plan, while a Sidewalk can. That’s why it isn’t showing up as an option in your plan.
You can refer to this article for how to create a Sidewalk:

Hope this helps! If you have more questions, feel free to share.
@Yarbo-Forum, Could you please provide more details about Sidewalk and return to the dock behaviour?
I created sidewalk on the top of the area (covering 3 sides) to clean up snow for the lines of U turns.
After completing the plan in another area later Yarbo decided to use this sidewalk instead of regular area under it to return to the dock. I was not expecting such behaviour as I already parked car on this side of the road as without sidewalk yarbo was using another side of the road.
Thanks.
@jso Hi there, based on the current logic, the sidewalks may also be used as part of the return-to-dock route.
I definitely did not understand the difference between a sidewalk and a path in the system. The sidewalk was in the more icons and not apparent when using the app until I dug deeper. I set it up and made a plan just for the mailbox so I could monitor it better. Test run was a success.
