Does anyone know what the difference is between the current snowblower (2025 version) and the Snow Blower Module Gen 2 (Y Series), beside the exterior looks?
The snow deflector not being cable operated is the biggest update to the snowblower. Not much new other than that.
Is it gear-driven now? Would that actually be better in a freeze?
I believe it is a linear actuator motor. Since there is no opening for the steel cable to penetrate through, there is no opportunity for water to get inside that cable and freeze or break the cable/gears. This can sometimes happen on the older generation.
