Snowblower Gen 2 compatible with the V1 (Yarbo core 2024?

Their Gen1 snowblower module has been retried, does the gen 2 works with the 2024 core? or only with the newY40P?

The AI said only with the Y40P which it will leave all of the existent users in a very quick downhill if it breaks out of warranty we would finish with no chance but to maybe find a second hand, is this true?

Nothing is mentioned in the website

Yes, works with all Y series (2024+) cores. That includes Y40 and Y40P.

No worries. The Gen 2 Snowblower module is compatible with both the Y40 and Y40P Core.

Good to know it will work on the older Y models. Do you know if its Chute diameter is larger or lined with a better non stick substance. Slushy wet snow just loves to clog the chute.

No other changes are reported as of now.

Nothing really different there that I can tell. I ceramic coated my snow blower with a thick wipe on coating of Adams graphene ceramic coating, let it on (didn’t wipe it off). It worked great the whole season for me. There are some third party modifications people have done as well, but I wouldn’t recommend that on a warrantied unit.

Currently, we do not have any changes or updates regarding the chute diameter or coating material. Thanks for sharing your feedback.

Is there a comparison between the gen 1 and gen 2?

Other than the chute deflector is now a linear actuator motor vs a cable, there really aren’t any differences. Except, it is a little quieter.

I see, do you know if the Gen 2 chute deflector with the linear actuator is compatible with the Gen 1 Snow Blower Module?

The reason I am asking is because I received Gen 1 Snow Blower replacement, and it has not been used yet. I am just trying to get some feedback to see if that is an option before reaching out to customer support to explore options.

There is currently no way to retrofit it. It is different enough that it would take more effort than it’s probably worth. If your replacement is NIB, you could certainly inquire if there are available options.

Got my new Gen 2 snowblower today. Disappointed you still need a wrench to take the stupid cover off. Come on yarbo this has been brought up many times, TOOL LESS HARDWARE!!!

EXACTLY! I dropped that screw and had it roll under the core 4 times last year. Screw that screw!

Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. I’ll pass your feedback along to our product team for consideration.

So what are you first impressions of the gen 2 snowblower? Anything noticeable we don’t already know?

Nothing new except the deflector motor deal. I guess it will just have to do the job.

I just hope the belt and belt drive issues of last season are fixed.

Fingers crossed for ‘ya! I suspect (hope?) the belt thing has been resolved.
