I was happy with my new Yarbo and snow blower on the first 2 storms even though they werent big storms. On the last storm it finished up and went back to the DS and i left it there for the last 2 weeks thinking it would be all set for the next storm. Well 3 days ago when i went to start it on its way to do the work zone..it said it couldnt get my network even though the network is fine. Then looking at the stats it says the battery is at ZERO so that explains why it couldnt see the network. So the doc station failed to charge the battery? Machine is not even 2 months old? So i unpluged the doc station and plugged in the direct battery charger.
The light was red on the charger and is now green (one full day of charging) Pushing the
activate button either for 5-10 secs or 60 secs does Nothing to get the Yarbo back on line.
The lights come on for a short time but then shut off, never saying its ready for service.
I had to have someone shovel the driveway and will call |||Yarbo tomorrow..as it is xmas day. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to how to awaken the Yarbo?
Unplug the wired charger. Unplug the battery for 4 hours. Connect the battery, connect the wired charger. Hold the activate button for 60 seconds. If that doesn’t work, open a ticket and post the ticket number here so the forum moderator can follow up on it for you
That worked! Thank you very much…it seems there was an upgrade to the docking station, and this maybe interrupted its ability to charge the battery. Right now i dont trust the doc station as we have snow coming tonight.(so i put it in the garage for tomorrows storm) In a few days Yarbo said i should put the machine back on the dock station and they will check it out, that it is charging correctly. Thanks again for the solution!
As a side note while discussing charging-I feel like if your Yarbo resets (while charging) or you power cycle it and it is sitting on the DS you need to manually press the charge battery on the app to initiate the charge. So maybe the DS updated and then never initiated the charging command again. Because you can’t just manually drive the Core over the DS and do nothing. The only way it will auto charge is from the charge button on the controller (in app not physical conteoller) or at the end of a plan.
Actually, as long as the battery is below 85% it should start charging automatically when the core is idle for 10 mins I think. Sometimes after updates it won’t immediately initiate a recharge but usually around 90% it automatically starts charging again.
Glad to hear that worked! Yes, there is a fix they can push that should correct your issue. I’d throw it on the dock with a full charge and update your ticket when you are ready. Keep an eye on your battery until they confirm it’s fixed.
