Happy Saturday Everyone!
As stated in prior posts, I am super close to pulling the trigger on one of these marvelous machines. In fact, the snow just keeps coming and going out every three days to move snow has gotten old real fast this season. Now, I am under the assumption that the minute I order one the snow will cease, but that is just par for the course right? I just have one final concern/question.
As you can see in the photo below I have somewhat of a wide driveway up top (can park four vehicles across) and then it tapers off towards the street. Since my driveway and the neighbors on the right in the photo is separated by a very narrow line of landscape (rocks), throwing snow to the right is not an option.
When I move snow manually (who does that!?) I cut some swaths at the top and then go down the right side slowly working my way left. Inevitably, there is a decent amount of snow that I throw and builds up on that left side by the time I get to it which can be some work even for a good sized walk behind snow blower. Does anyone see an issue with this when it comes to Yarbo? From the videos I have seen it appears it’s capable of throwing snow fairly far so maybe this is a non-issue? Just figured I would bounce it off some of you owners.
I guess my only other issue is the rock landscaping I mentioned on the right side, now and then I catch a rock working that right boundary. The fear is it flinging a rock into one of the neighbors vehicles without me knowing, all part of the trade off for autonomous snow removal I suppose.
P.S. this photo is a week old, more snow has accumulated, just the only photo I had where vehicles were not obscuring the drive way boundaries.
I don’t think it would be an issue. Especially if you send it early and often.

offhand, I don’t see any issues with throwing all the snow to one side. But as with any statements, there is a caveat: Super heavy wet snow will be a challenge, as it is for any snowblower. ‘Dry’ snow shouldn’t be a problem.
The biggest thing to remember is this: When a snow storm is underway, you should strive to clear the snow frequently. Don’t wait until the storm is past. So maybe every 2-3 inches, send Yarbo to clear it. As long as you do that, you’ll be fine.

Hi there, thanks for your interest in Yarbo!
Based on your description, Yarbo should be able to handle snow removal on your driveway without any major issues, including managing snow to one side.
Regarding the rock landscaping on the right side, a good approach would be to run a test after you’ve set up your map. You can then fine-tune the boundary or adjust the map based on what you observe during that test run, which helps reduce the chance of picking up rocks.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask — we’re happy to help.

You could also map the driveway in 3 different areas, one for the whole thing for normal usage and half and half to run during heavy events. You could also try starting a plan part way through to do the end half first and re-run to do the other half. I will say there is a caveat though. Currently the chute aiming algorithm(s) are needing some help, you will most likely shoot small amounts of snow at the garage/house and into the neighbors driveway…hopefully they get that bug fixed. It’s almost like there are multiple layered algorithms controlling the aiming direction that are fighting with each other.

Thanks again for the great feedback everyone.
rcguymike, I was thinking maybe making a few different plans could maybe be advantageous. I am still a little confused on how they work as far as what would be the best way to lay them out but guessing it will be more intuitive once I receive the unit and set up the app. As for the neighbor, I don’t think he will mind and he said if mine works, he is 100% buying one. So a lot riding on this!
Ken - I was wondering if anyone would see my little guy out there haha! That is Thor.
Thanks again!
