Snowblower controller layout

Almost everyone using the manual controller is going to be using the Left Joystick for control of the body. Using the DPad for control of the chute and the snow deflector seems kludgy and counterintuitive.

My suggestion is to use a ‘swap-function’ setup - when both Joysticks are at 0,0, let the DPad control the chute angle and direction. When one Joystick is NOT at 0,0, change the OTHER Joystick to control the chute angle and direction, and keep that layout as long as the Safety Button is engaged. Reset to default when the Safety Button is released.

This way, you can easily change angle and direction of the ejecta while you are manually controlling the Yarbo. It would also allow for easy accommodation of people who would prefer to control using the Right Joystick instead of the Left one.

Hi there, welcome to the Yarbo Forum and thanks for the suggestion! We understand your preference for this kind of control layout and the convenience it brings when operating manually.

At the moment, we don’t have plans to change the physical controller logic in this way. However, we really appreciate your feedback. If more users share the same interest, we’ll definitely revisit your suggestion for future updates.

Thanks again for the idea, and feel free to continue sharing your thoughts here in the forum!
