I will be receiving a 2025 version of the snowblower package shortly and have been seriously researching info on pros/cons for such, but everything out there relates to the 2024 models. I’m confident that Yarbro has addressed alot of the issues that have been reported on the 2024 units. So I ask, can anyone offer any advice/info on the ups and downs of the (Specifically) 2025 version? I thank you in advance.
The motors are quieter, slightly as well. You hit the major changes. Some tweaks to the kit like the stabilizer bar instead if the HaLow clip for securing the HaLow antenna on the DC. I’m sure other changes we have no clue about to mitigate any hardware issues they’ve come across. They also removed the LAN port on the DC. Was not needed.
A 25 is still the 24 design and they refer to it all as the 24 except in the manuals. The 23 to 24 change was significantly different. Lots of improvements on communications and lots of changes to the snow blower and mower. I don’t believe there’s been any changes to the 25 snow blower. At least none I’ve seen reported. If there are, I’m sure it’s minor hardware tweaks to address any problems identified earlier.
Depends on what it is. Most of the changes or improvements should be incorporated into parts they ship you or into a refurbished replacement unit (or new depending on the situation and stock availability). For example, they won’t be shipping everyone new track motors because the newest ones are quieter. But the cover is easy enough to retrofit and ship to those who have the concern and want for it.
Especially with the motors. If this thing gets quieter it will almost be unstoppable from a hardware side. It’s bad-to-the-ass. And I’m not even sure if I have quieter motors or not.
To be honest, the sound of the drive motors don’t even bother me. Of course I knew about them before I bought it, so I wasn’t surprised. But when Yarbo is working in the yard, it’s not usually close enough to hear unless I’m trying to listen for it.
And of course you’re not gonna hear those drive motors when the leaf blower or snow blower is operating anyway!
I don’t hear the track noise inside when it’s running slowest speed, at all. I actually can hear the mower (M1) inside ever so slightly. Not enough that I care though. Kinda strange how the different frequencies carry.
I think it’s interesting how different people are sensitive to different frequencies.
Like there’s been talk in the news recently about how they are trying to figure out how to make dentist drills less terrifying to patients by modifying the sound they make. Personally the drills never bother me, but I know they do bother a good portion of the population.
Beyond sound, though, it would be helpful if the Core’s drive motors didn’t have a propensity to lock up under load, as has been described by several users (usually on the left side for some reason).
